UGH! It is Animal Crossing all over again.
Nintendo should have made an in-game store where you can buy the items you want. You could unlock money by playing and making levels. Make it happen Nintendo!

You're doing something wrong because in one night I've unlocked most of the items. Keep playing and stuff will show up. The 1 day does not apply. Is your game patched? Launch the game from the main menu, not the quick launch.

I love traveling light through Europe and run a blog about it at OneBagTravel.com

That P switch tube was unfair

but you can go back and get it because I thought the pipe keeps spitting them out. I've played some stages where if you miss a certain item or something, your only choice is to restart the stage.

Hopefully it didn't come off as unfair.

Do your research, buddy. The patch for North America also removed the nine day unlock cycle. You just need to queue up the next delivery (it'll tell you that it will arrive the next day). Then, you need to use every new tool you unlocked AND put down a certain number of tiles (just spam ground tiles if you want to make it quick). You'll get a message saying the delivery truck came earlier than expected. Rinse and repeat.

If only I knew how to get them earlier sooner.

Doesn't the P-switch keep coming out of the pipe though, even if you use it or miss it?

If it does, you just need to go back and get it. If you can only use it once, then that would be unfair but I don't see how it is.

Turning my Wii U back on to replay the level now. I'm curious and I hope there isn't a portion in the stage where a player could get stuck.

@Rexcalibr: my problem was I didn't realize it appeared and had to go all way back then go forward to pipes and found it lol.

After playing this for a few days (Japanese version) I've come to really like Super Mario Maker. I was originally rather disappointed and underwhelmed by it and didn't really have many good ideas. However now that I've unlocked more items, I really like it and I made a stage that I am happy with. I really liked how all the ideas seemed to just randomely inspire new ones as I worked on it. I'm going to write about it, so since it will be kind of long, feel free to skip past this.

It is called "Underwater Fire".

8D94-0000-0019-1383
I first started with an idea of making a Super Mario Bros. 3 underwater level and have some sort of hidden area like one from the original game (I believe it led to a mushroom or something?). I then decided that a fire flower would work best underwater over a raccoon suit and then decided to make it fire themed. From there I added fire bars and fireballs, many at first wouldn't go above ground and just be for effect. I then started fooling around with the flamethrowers and put some bullet bill launchers with fire balls I top of them. Next I added a giant Bowser, but later put him on top of a regular sized one and jr. just because I thought it would look kind of funny to see Jr. holding up 2 enemies larger than himself. I also added in Lakitus at the top with fireballs so people couldn't just cheat and swim over everything, but it has an interesting look to it when the fireballs rain from above. I also had some relatively harmless bob-ones, but I found it neat that fire would cause them to blow up shortly after touching them. Lastly I added a giant wall of fireballs just because it looked cool haha and a bunch of firebars that were just out of reach of the goal, but spinned in unison to create an interesting effect.

I played it and gave it a star.

It took me two tries. The first time I didn't get the fire flower but the second time I did and tried to fight the Bowsers and got hit so I just kept swimming away to the end. Your stage has way better stats for your clears / played ratio than mine did.

Mines was 4/49.

I wish I could go back and edit/change something about my stage without having to delete it and re upload it but oh well.

Ah ha! So if you take your/downloaded courses and arrange them into a row of four in the coursebot, you can play them all in a row like a mini-world! That way you can make those extra lives meaningfull if you put a difficult level at the end there.

I knew there was a reason you saved your courses in "worlds".

I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke!

I will tomorrow I turned my Wii U off and was done for the day. I'll check it out some time in the early afternoon probably (will definitely do it since you checked out my stage).

Does anyone think they will release DLC for this game and what do you guys want them to release?

I definitely want the Koopalings but another thing would be another row of items.

I know a lot of people wanted check points (I'm undecided if I want them since it would change the whole dynamic of levels) that but also Chargin Chucks, Boom-Boom, the fire version of Hammer Bros (Fire Bros) and also the ones that throw boomerangs. I would also want to be able to make red and yellow pipes; they let you change the color for one of the tile blocks on the Mario Bros 3 version so I'm surprised they didn't let you do it for pipes.

@Rexcalibr thanks for trying it out! I'll try yours out later when I can.

I've tried beating the Bowsers too, but I also got hit haha.
If I could, I think I might have just had the one Bowser again, but I guess some people could abuse the system if they could edit their courses without deleting them.

Is it possible to make longer levels, they are pretty short?

@Linkus: If you go to either the flag at the end of the level or the bar at the bottom of the creation screen that shows the stage, you can slide the flag either left or right to make the stage longer or shorter.

Yes, I like bears.

You can unlock sub-worlds too so that if you go into a pipe, you end up in a different screen altogether. You can make the stages a lot longer like that.
