I'd like to clarify, these aren't "subliminal messages." There's nothing subliminal about obviously holding a fruit. These are directed at the conscious, not the subconscious.
I'd say there's definitely something to it, but I can't see it being about a new Yoshi game. It seems like too much effort put into it for it to just be for a Yoshi game. A new Earthbound or Smash Bros. would be a big deal. But Yoshi? Sure, there's many fans that would love it, but it still doesn't seem like enough to warrant all the effort being put into this.

They are subliminal messages. They're not exactly directly dictating what the use of fruit actually represents, are they? A subliminal message is one that comes with no outright statement, but represents itself with a hidden meaning to its face.
