You'd have to be pretty immature to assume the Wii U was 'just for indie games' just because its getting more of them. Getting more games for the console, of any kind, is a good thing.
I don't understand this thread. Every console has indies, everyone plays indies, indies are a big deal. Inidies are basically the replacement for the void created when big studio games got too big. We lost all of those cool/quick little games or we got them and they were seriously overpriced. What do you think Tetris was? Unirally? Pokemon Pinball? Even something like Portal? You think those games were all about showing off the visuals the platform could push?
The fact is that if the Wii U wasn't getting indies then there would be 10x more threads complaining about how one indie or another wasn't on the Wii U.

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"
No indies are not ruining the console, but just like the Vita the amount of indies are a positive consequence of the console misfortune, the lack of triple A titles to compete against is what draws so many developers to these two consoles
But how long must we wait. Its been over a year and the Wii U is still facing the we.problems it did this time last year. Meanwhile the Xbox one and PS4 have had strong launches follow up with big games in a six month period.
The Wii U had better launch games and better games during its first 6 months. The PS4 is just selling because of the insane amount of hype, but in truth there is barely a single decent game out or coming for the rest of the year. Sony also announced over 100 games were coming to the system this year but around 80 of them were indie titles that are also coming to the Wii U.
Without the indies the consoles would look pretty barren, as AAA development is a thing of the past (except for proven sellers and annual franchises).
Seriously though, I don't think Indies are doing much for consoles since these devs are desperate for money and will do whatever suits them to get that money.

Nintendo needs to embrace the fact that they can't keep up with Sony and Microsoft in most ways. If Nintendo can garner a large catalog of indie titles, it will certainly be a good thing. That's really the only option at this point. AAA 3rd party games aren't coming anytime soon.

The PS4 has already surpassed Wii U the moment the inFamous: Second Son released if you ask me, and most of the indies coming or that have come to PS4 aren't coming to Wii U. I think the PS4 has a better had a better first 5 months than the Wii U since it released.
@DumeDum The average review rating is 81%, I wouldn't say it's that underwhelming. Plus a day one patch released with better graphics, and 5 more hours of content for the game, which would be after a lot of reviews had their inital release. And frankly, part of that was just my personal opinion.
