I finally could beat the same adventure levels I couldn't in the WiiU game. Maybe this time I'll be able to get to and unlock Zant...
Also, I never noticed just how small the map of the first game is. It's like... Long horizontally, but a bit squashed vertically. Or maybe it was modified for this game...?
I just finished the main branch of Legends Mode, and Linkle's. Now I'm starting Cia's story branch, which is about where I was at when my Wii U version decided to start malfunctioning.
My god, Cia SUCKS. Her special moves take far to long and don't even cover much area. I levelled her up as much as I could afford to (Level 8) and I couldn't get passed her first stage. Currently trying to earn more ruppees to level her up more.
EDIT: Spammed amiibo gifts for ruppees and now she's level 20. This better be enough.
Has anybody played both to compare the Wii U to Legends on a regular 3DS? I never got the Wii U version once I heard this was coming out and definitely want to get it somehow. From what I've heard it seems that maybe the slowdown and framerate and things aren't as bad as they were originally made out to be. My biggest worry about it is, having never played a Warriors game before, it seems that the fun of it comes from just blasting through hordes and hordes of enemies and feeling like a superhero, and the numbers in those hordes seem to be drastically diminished on a regular 3DS so it might not be as fun. I'm also wondering how it controls without a second stick. Can anyone comment on these things? If it's not horrible and still fun, saving $40 ($20 on the game plus $20 worth of DLC already included) definitely seems like the way to go.
@Detective_TeeJay: There's 2 key combos that will help a lot with Cia. For groups of grunt type enemies (e.g. Gorons with no armor) use BYYY a lot whereas for enemies with weak point gauges, use BBBBY (these are for Zelda controls). Of course as always, completing the badge trees are important.
I dreamed about this game almost all night yesternight, it was actually pretty annoying. It wasn't even action, it was mostly menus and strategy. With the same music track repeating endlessly.
@Xyphon22: well, according to the digital foundry video 3DS version never strays too far away from 20fps (kinda like Zelda on n64), the WiiU is around 25-27 fps and n3DS is an almost solid 30fps (in 2D).
From some comparison videos, I've noticed events in the 3DS version sometimes happen later than in the other two, probably because it's slower... Also, some details in those events don't appear at all, like the exploding bombchus in the second level of legend.
Some of the reviews I've seen say they got used to the 20fps eventually, and many sites mention that the enemy count isn't actually lower, you just can't see the enemies.
It's too bad NoA decided to delay/never release the demo, that would've been useful. You can try watching some gameplay videos on youtube.
@Meowpheel: Thanks. Honestly, I don't think I would really care about the lower framerate. It's more that the entire appeal of the Warriors series seems to be nerfed by far fewer enemies, but if even that is not the case and you just can't see all the enemies than there really doesn't seem to be much reason to go for the Wii U version, especially considering the price. I've also wondered about the Challenge mode that the 3DS version leaves out. What is that? Is it a big enough omission to consider the Wii U version because of it?
Part of my dream last night entailed finding out Marin has the "Shopkeeper's Staff" and it sends out a beam that looked like the Link's Awakening shopkeeper attack haha Although it made the noise of Psybeam from Pokemon RBY...
There were 3 random challenge battles, a bunch of boss focused battles and Ganon's/Cucco's Fury. It was cool but it definitely won't be as good as 5 extra adventure maps (Wind Waker, Master Wind Waker, Link's Awakening, Phantom Hourglass / Spirit Tracks, A Link Between Worlds).
Poor toon link, something tells me he'll remain badgeless until I reach the epilogue. Too bad, since I like playing as him. At least I got a silver Phantom Ganon material from @Detective_TeeJay's online Link. Haha, I'm ages away from facing a phantom ganon in game.
Also, yay I finally can play as Zant. Not that I wanted or needed to... But he was the only one I never unlocked on the WiiU.
I would like Linebeck, GROOSE SO HE CAN BE LOOSE!...Byrne, Zubora and Gabor, Kaepora Gaebora and lastly a phantom, but from what I can predict we will get Linebeck, Ravio, and Yuga, would be NOICE if the game done well that they would add more packs like oracle of ages/seasons, minish cap, Skyward sword, new Zelda, or anything else.

You mean the owl from OOT & MM and not Zelda's father in SS?
......................................
Actually now that I think about it ('cause I never considered him to be a possibility) that would actually be cool. If only to laugh my head off if they manage to work his infamous:
"Do you want me to repeat what I just said? (for 5 minutes)
>Yes
No"
If they get that in somewhere I'll get the season pass no doubt. Though just flying around as an owl and attacking people works too (currently having fun doing that in Far Cry Primal).
