I still think digital preordering is stupid and pointless
Pretty much the same as predordering At brick and motar. Only difference is its going to automatically download while my PS4 is in standby mode when the system updates.

Well, not really. I would preorder physical for two reasons: preorder bonuses or a guaranteed copy on release date. With digital, the latter doesn't really apply, though I suppose an automatic download could be convenient.

Digital has been giving pre-order bonuses for a while now though. Plus it helps to balance what I'm going to buy. Though I tend to not pre-order and buy from my job so I can get a discount. I did pre-order destiny for a beta code.

So reviews are coming in and its looking like my fears for this game are true, its a beautiful and fun but shallow and easy game by most accounts. Scores are between 6-8 mostly, here's a few samples, the content of the reviews are more informative than the base scores.

Well that's fine, but after the Aliens Colonial Marines debacle, I've been more careful with pre-orders. Just to clarify, I didn't buy Aliens. I will only preorder a game if it's from one of my favorite franchises from a trusted developer (mainly Nintendo). Otherwise, I'll wait a week for reviews.

Yeah I just might wait for a sale on this or some user opinions here. Too many good games coming up and need to save the money if I can. Still it looks beautiful and I really do want to play it but if the games a bit shallow then I can wait!

Scores are about what I expected for a $15 RPG. It was probably always going to be shallow based on intent and ubiaofts other digital only games. They're great buy usually pretty short and sweet.

Uggh, I see Push Square gave it a 9 on the PS4 version. Its not rating badly at all actually at 85%for now for PS4 and 83% for the One. I wonder if the U will have unique uses of the gamepad and that could be the icing on the cake!

Yeah the reviews for this one are all over the place, lowest so far is 6 and highest is 8.5. The art is too good to pass up despite the lack of depth imo but i'll likley play it on hardmode out the gate based on what i've read.

Actually over on Metacritic the highest is a 100% and the lowest I seen in this post was a 5 from Polygon! Its tracking fairly well thus far.
Like I said above I hope the U will have a unique feature or 2 to bump the score a bit!

Cool, thanks for the update. One thing that's missing from alot of the reviews though is meaty co-op info, doesn't seem like anyone bothered to play the whole game co-op. Co-optimus have yet to post their review but will no doubt fill in the blanks.
Also hoping for some Wii U features and a decent co-op experience, if not i'll likely just get it for PC in the next Steam sale.
The NintendoLife review was just posted; they gave it a 9/10. But as I said earlier in the thread I generally ignore reviews; I'd rather make up my own mind.
Child of Light and Pier Solar HD are my two most anticipated Wii U eshop titles with Shovel Knight, Scram Kitty, and Two Brothers rounding off my top 5 list.
