Doubt it, everyone already said Monster Hunter won't allow it, I'm sure their money will skyrocket once again once 4G hits later this year. (and maybe a little more when it makes it here next year)

I don't think Capcom is in it's end, as long as they don't screw Monster Hunter and stop screwing Resident Evil Capcom has a chance to make a comeback.
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

So what's up with all these J-devs thinking they need to cater to Western gamers anyway? Then when the product misses the sales projections by a few million, companies like Capcom blame it on the gamers. Wut?
At least Square-Enix seems to be getting the message though. Bravely Default just outsold Lightning Returns with a fraction of the install base, so now the president is saying "Hmm, maybe we should stop trying to do that thing."
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
to be fair, Capcom is the company that got the most screwed in the decline of Japanese gaming, since Monster Hunter aside, most of their series succeeded via selling out or being a new IP that was blatantly made for a different audience and everything else has fallen to obscurity. Part of that is Capcom's fault obviously.
This is more Capcom being incredibly stupid in many other ways and more often than not Capcom's western games were the games that actually mattered. Of course in a perfect world the Ace Attorney games would sell as well here as Dead Rising, but life sucks so it doesn't.
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
I didn't find anything in that report indicating CAPCOM is in imediately trouble. That saíd, a merger would be advantageous in many ways for both companies. Nintendo could benefit from having a few popular IPs focused in mature audiences whereas CAPCOM serious need better quality control of their products.

It's a few months old now, but the situation hasn't changed much. They don't have much left, and it doesn't seem like they're heading in the right direction either.
Nintendo buys capcom, and increases their partnership with sega. Then releases fusion system with this launch window:
Launch in November: Mario Galaxy 3, Virtua Tennis 7, Devil may Cry 6, MotoGP 8, and a bunch of VC and indie titels
December: New FPS IP from Retro, Street Fighter 5
January: Mario Strikers 4, Phantasy Star: New World Order
Februrary: Marvel vs Capcom 4, New MegaMan Game
March: Mario Kart 9, New Basket ball game from Sega
April: Lost Planet 4, After Burner: Back in battle
June: Luigis Mansion 3, Monster Hunter 6
July: Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Daytona USA
August: Super Smash. Bros 5, Epic Battles,
September: Resident Evil 7, Yakuza 8,
October: Bayonetta 3, New Zelda game
And this would still leaves a steady flow of games like:
Madworld 2, Dead Rising 4, New Sonic game, Mario & Sonic at the Olympics, Star Fox, Super Money Ball5, Metroid Prime, Alex the Kid, Dark Void 2, Steel Battaltion, Kid Icarus, Crazy Taxi, Pokemon MMO, New Golden Axe, House of the Dead, Shinobi, Valkyria Chronicles 2, Yoshis new Island, Kirbys next adventure....And so on.
This would be pretty epic and should be able to make Nintendo stand out as a console for both families and hard core gamers.

I think you forgot about the fact that they're going to buy EA as well, and where are Mario Galaxy 4, 5 & 6? Can't seem to find Mario Kart 10 in your list either..
