Topic: A new Four Swords Adventures must happen

The original Four Swords Adventures is one of my all time favorite multiplayer games. The only problem was trying to get enough Game Boy Advances and GBA/GC Link Cables together. When the Wii U was revealed, the first game I wanted was a new Four Swords Adventures. They could make it so that four players could either use the Wii U controller or a 3DS (or even a DS). I think the original FSA was ahead of it's time, and I think technology has finally caught up to the awesome idea. I want to see something by next E3, Nintendo!

I just remembered the Nintendo Power issue a long time ago where it listed Four Swords as a game for the DS, only to vanish shortly after. T_T
I really do hope we get one for both the U and 3DS.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that.

I still think Four Swords should be online, at least optional.

I definitely agree with this statement. I'm a little worried though that Nintendo is avoiding answering whether or not multiple new controllers will be compatible together because they know how much buying multiple controllers will cost. It boggles my mind that they didn't think about that beforehand and said something like "hey, I guess that could be possible using more than 1 new controller. We thought everyone just wanted 1v3 party games."

But then again just make it an online game with voice chat and that problem is solved. but don't we want to bring people together?

I agree with all of that but nothing beats this game played locally.

that's true. hopefully they do add functionality for a 3DS used as a controller. or maybe people will just make a habit of bringing their Wii2 controller with them to their friend's house.

I would hope it works for 3DS. They can have an app on eShop so you can download Four Swords and use that to store your own data such as accomplishments and items to then connect to WiiU

I was watching some videos of shadow battles and now I really want to play it again. I'm considering buying another GBA and GBA/GC link cable to play it with a friend. Man, it is so much fun.

It got scrapped in favor of Phantom Hourglass (yuck!).

This was a good read too. I second an optional online mode.

I'm surprised they haven't decided to pretend Four Swords never existed. I was expecting it to be blamed for it's own failures instead of how few people would ever have the stupid link cables.

Stupid Nintendo, making a Zelda game for the DS. What were they THINKING?!

Yeah, it isn't like they later made the same game but far better and that Phantom Hourglass added nothing to Wind Waker's story despite being a sequel to Wind Waker.

It makes me sad that one of my favorite DS games is considered trash simply because it has a much improved sequel.

ON TOPIC I think a new Four Swords would be great as long as they fixed the flaws the game cube version had.

I have to say, I'm very surprised that more people aren't on the "FSA on Wii U" bandwagon. The two go together like brownies and milk.

I would like to play a new Four swourds. but the question is.... would a remake or a new game be better? simple and clean......(bad reference)

Exactly how long will nintendo's shenanigans prevail?

YES. YES. YES. GENIUS! With the Wii U controller, Day 1 buy. Maybe it can connect with the 3DS like GCN did with GBA.

I'm hoping it'll appear on the Nintendo 3DS in an art style similar to that of Phantom Hourglass! You'll never know how much I played Phantom Hourglass. Sadly, I haven't yet purchased Spirit Tracks. Was the latter as good as Phantom Hourglass? I never made an effort to buy it as I was a little leery of the 'Link on a Train' idea.

I also agree with komicturtle92's 8th post in regards to the WiiU connectivity for Four Swords.

You know, I never even thought about a remake, but if the Wii U has downloadable GC games, FSA would be perfect. I personally would like the original and a new one.

I've been saying that since the DS days.

Glad I'm not the only one that liked Phantom Hourglass, though. At least the multiplayer mode in Spirit Tracks had a bit of Four Swords in it. Just a bit, but it was fun.
