Topic: Super Power Club: Power Challenge Trading Cards

In going through some old boxes of mine at my parents house, I stumbled across an old issue of Nintendo Power (vol. 51). I was a little surprised when I flipped to the back of the magazine and found Power Challenge Trading Cards in them. I really don't remember them, but I am curious now what the challenges were.

From what I can find, there were 172 cards containing NES, Gameboy, and SNES games on them. Each had a description of the game on the back with a three level challenge. From looking around online, all I seem to find is the list and the cover image but no one seems to have documented the challenges.

So for the six I did find, here are the games with the challenge. (Sorry that there are quite a few duds in the list, seems advertising dollars may have influenced the selection):

#31 - Dinocity (SNES) - How far can you go in the first level using only your jump and pounce attack? Novice - The second section, Intermediate - The Fourth Section, Pro - Crasher, the boss.

#37 - Gargoyle's Quest II (NES) - Try getting the Night Drop from the Hidden Woods without - Novice - Losing a Life, Intermediate - Getting hit twice, Pro - Getting hit at all.

#61 - Bubsy: Claws Encounters of the Furried Kind (SNES) - How far can you go on the 1st level while constantly running? Novice - The 1st Exclamation Point, Intermediate - The 2nd Exclamation Point, Pro - The End

I have a binder with maybe half the cards (just an estimate).
I've been thinking about it but wow that would take some time to type up.

Well, here's the cards I have from the first 20% (up to 36).
I really doubt that Pac-Man challenge is physically possible, and I know the Wario Land card (#129, I think) is also impossible. But I wonder how many others will turn up.

I've thought about that. I managed to find roughly 60 of the cards on ebay with the images of the backs. I have already started a Google doc of them that can be found here (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OO9apFtafLIZXWGzgwHSkj0rMbl-J3RDZ1Hx-f8S5LQ/edit?usp=sharing). I really don't mind filling them in, just lack the cards to get the information.

I honestly think that pac-man has a typo. 5,000 points makes sense, while 50,000 is impossible.
