Looks like Mewtwo inside a Lab. Psychic type... PSI.
In Pokemon Yellow, Ditto is strictly found only in Pokemon Mansion and Cerulean Cave. It's also funny how Ditto's Base Stats are just Mew's cut in half.
Back sprites are unfortunately always uglier. Charmeleon, Weedle, and Pikachu are in my opinion some of the worst.
Pikachu always just looked like he had a huge spot on his face - urgh. (Yes, I know it's supposed to be his blushing cheek - but it looks terrible).

I don't know, maybe it had to do with the cloning process. Dittos were actual clone attempts, after so many tries they could see it was not working. Mewtwo on the other hand was a genetically altered clone. Built to be stronger, and maybe that was filling in some of the gaps .Mewtwo does have higher stats overall, (like SP Attack and HP) then Mew but a bit lower in a few others) In the Pokemon Adventure Manga, the reason why Mewtwo looks more humanoid is because they used Blaine's DNA.
Or maybe the reason it doesn't have Transform is why it didn't fail.
So transform causes a genetic meltdown... I'm confused@_@. Doesn't like 1 other pokemon know it?

This guy just looks full of WIN! This guy intimidated me for a good portion of my youth until I discovered his weakness, EVERYTHING! The best looking 'Mon from Gen 1 IMO. My favorite Pokemon of all time.
