8BitSamurai

The thread about old, unheard of, and downright weird versions of classic games.

For an example, I present to you the ZX Spectrum version of Renegade.

Did any of you guys, especially those on the home computer front, have / had any of these sorts of things?

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six on Game Boy Color.
My friend never played but he cannot imagine turning a stealth-based FPS two-dimensional to do anything less than ruining the game.
(I only recall playing the PC original for awhile at his house when it was first released, and I do remember it being rather suspenseful.)

Sadly with modern consoles being all 3D, you're not likely to get these truly weird ports anymore.

Daikatana GBC is a similar sort of thing but it is actually pretty good unlike the original. (Dungeon Crawler / Action RPG type thing).

I would rather have totally different stuff than watered down ports.

Fixed.

@unrandomsam Quote my post to see how it's done.

Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)

Thanks. Its a BBC Micro clone of Donkey Kong called Killer Gorilla. (From when that sort of thing was totally fine.)
