Topic: For the love of Metroid

Retro making a classic sidescrolling Metroid would be amazing.

I honestly think they should redo metroid 2, in first person like the prime games and also make a sidescrolling game classic style for the 3ds but that's just me

The remake of metroid 2 for wii u would be great with that controller to scan things

The types of people that work at retro and retro have been hiring are more suited to big 3D experiences. As much as I love dckr it really wasn't what I wanted from the studio. Why do you think a few people left shortly after MP3.

Retro should be guys working on Nintendo's uncharted and Halo.

If people left after Corruption... wouldn't that contradict what you're trying to say?

And I don't want Uncharted and Halo clones on my Wii U.

and wouldn't metroid be nintendos uncharted or halo? metroid was a bigger name than both those games at one point

It wouldn't as the next game was score and a few if the guys left for places like 343i and ID.

And it wouldn't be a halo or uncharted clone. Don't be dense.

By that I mean the thing the prime/uncharted/ and halo series are they are big budget high profile games that push the limits of the console they are on.

But a side scrolling metroid wouldn't big. And a new il or one ghat hasn't been used in a while would be easier to make huge than a game that has shakey mass appeal and last game bomba'd.

That's disappointing but didn't Retro hire a few new people just last year including one that worked on Uncharted?

A new ip from retro would be great too but i guess its just wishful thinking on my part that i still say metroid prime 2 the return of samus that would get metroid back on track. And also a side-scrolling game similar to the style of super metroid if retro won't do it nintendo should

If it's not Star Fox I want it to be a new IP. Leave F-Zero to Nintendo or even Monster Games.
