Once you get the Ocarina, do you get to save whenever you want? I just beat the prologue and I was relieved when I finally got to save.

You can save, but you have to start in clock town on the first day again. You can also save at owl statues scattered sparingly around the game.

I wish they had implemented save state for N64 games. This is one that would have benefitted from it.

You can save at owl statues all around termina. But make sure you have a couple to spare whenever your about to do dungeon.(Especially great bay temple.) And play the inverted song of time( the one that slows time) to get more hours in the game.

Do quicksaves expire when you turn off the system?

No they dont ... They expire the next time you play on that file

Yeah quick saves are deleted as soon as you load the file. Make sure you save by playing the ocarina before shutting the game off.

Just copy the owl-saved file over to the 2nd file for it to be more than a quick save.

yeah, play the inverted song of time to go slower and the double song of time to warp 12hrs ahead!

Above of all fox, DO NOT GO IN THE GREAT BAY TEMPLE ON THE SECOND DAY. Start time over, slow down time, and THEN go in. No pressure, though!

Thanks everyone. I've barely done anything so far. The prologue's a headache when you can't save, but once you've memorized everything, you can get it done quickly (I had 1.5 days left).
