Hey I was hoping someone could help me find an old game that I used to play. I can't remember the name of it, but I'm pretty sure it was on the SNES. Basically the objective was to get to the exit, so I guess it was a sort of top down mazey game, and there were bad guys on the way. I'm pretty sure there was a time limit as well and if it passed this guy came that could (maybe! I can't quite remember) pass through the walls and if he touched you, you died. Also, you could play 2 player co-op and it was about 1996-97 that I played it. If anyone can give some ideas as to what I'm talking about, I'd be eternally grateful.
Hmm. Could you be more specific? You just described like over 10 different games that have a similar premise. What else can you remember? Was it on any other platform besides the SNES?
Definitely not Bubble Bobble, we used to play that as well though. After having a look on internet it isn't Adventures of Lolo either. The maps were big, as in you couldn't see the whole of them on the screen, it would scroll as you moved around. The walls were made of lots of individual blocks, some of which you could break through. There is a chance that it may not be a SNES game, I'm pretty sure it was, but I may well be wrong.
Cheers for the help so far guys, still haven't got it yet though! Cheezy, I can't remember the main character (I was about 8 when we played it and my memory of it is pretty hazy), it definitely isn't anyone like Mario though. It isn't Milon's Secret Castle either (it was a top down game). Brutus, I can assure you I'm not thinking of that.
Top Down? Individual blocks you could break through? Goal to find the Exit? Hmmm...Certainly you're not thinking of one of the Bomberman Games? You said top down and as for action games on the SNES with a top down or three quarters perspective, the only ones I can think of are: Super Bomberman Total Carnage Fire Power 2000 Zombies Ate My Neighbors Ghoul Patrol Mr.Do (O.K, so that one isn't quite top down, but I'll include it) Pocky & Rocky 1 (or 2) True Lies Super Smash T.V Soldiers of Fortune

y not find a list of SNES games on Wikipedia and then see if it's on that list?
But can you imagine cycling through a list of SNES games and clicking each one to find the one you want? Think about how many SNES games there are, lol.

mayb he'll recognize the game when he sees it? it's worth a shot
Does sounds an awful lot like Zombies... Or possibly one of the Pocky & Rocky games... Although one would think that you'd remember more about the visual style if it was either of those games... I also come to think of Operation Logic Bomb, but that game was just single player.
Since you're from the UK, can you remember if it was a PAL game? As in, have you any memory about anyone dealing with a converter unit or a Multi-X machine? Cause if it was indeed PAL that would reduce the number of possible titles significantly.
