This is a rather British-centric thread, but I'll post it anyway- what are the best shops in the country you know for buying retro games? I don't think there are that many around nowadays, especially since Gamestation got rid of most of their retro stock. Two stores that still have a decent choice are the ones on Princes Street Edinburgh, and in Hull (in a shopping centre I forget the name of). Other than that, there is a good shop in Newport Market (south Wales), called Toy Army, which stocks many S/NES, N64 and older, and there is a very good shop in Canterbury I visited six months ago, I cannot remember it's name.
What do you mean our Princess is in another castle?
I found some good Retro bargains in places like Cash Generator and Charity shops and of course car boots. Gamestation used to be a goldmine for retro gamers but alas since the takeover by GAME that seems to have all but ceased. There is a good retro games shop near me in a town called Bury but they are a dying breed. Obviously E-bay and the like is good for finding stuff but its hard to find rare games at bargain prices that way.For example I found Conkers Bad Fur day at a car boot for £3. I played it then sold it on ebay for £50.Nice. Thank god for the VC , I say
