So heres a little story a buddy of mine when hicking and found an abandened camp site and within the camp site he found a game the lable was worn and he had no clue what it was, so he gave it to me to look at and fix/clean it. so i did that cleaned the cart and buffed the contacts when that was done i poped the bad boy in my GBA SP it started fine but when it made it to the start screen i selected start and it went to white any ideas on what it means ill post a link to a video here on what im talking about.

...Really though, something on the chip is most likely wrong.

It's that, or the solder cracked while you cleaned it (a common issue I get with fixing old computers). While the solution I use tends to be a reflow. This can be done in a simple toaster oven or with a soldering iron, but make sure you look up and fully comprehend how the procedure works.

Other than that, have you tried blowing in it?

It's just another way to heat the board up and get the solder flowing again. I'm not sure how long a GB board would take, but I'm fairly certain you'd have to remove the internal battery first.

Honestly just use a soldering iron and a YouTube tutorial and you're golden.

I fixed my broken The Sims GBA cartridge with duck tape and part of a lolipop stick (to keep the chip's contacts down, touching the board)

Works like a charm.
