I have managed to find someone selling a brand new classic 80's NES console, still sealed for a super good price... is there fakes that i should be aware of before i buy? and how to spot one?
Thanks people

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
@ogo79 The SNES2 is the only occasion I can recall of pirates deliberately trying to pass off a fake console as a real one. All others I have heard of have at least had fake names to go with them.
(my favorite being one I saw on ebay years ago that, maybe couldn't bother to think of name, so it was just called "Pirate Family Computer" )

I know there are some pirate Famicoms, but they are pretty obvious to spot (usually different color schemes). Haven't heard of pirate NES consoles, though.
That seems like a good price if it is indeed a genuine "new, never used" console. But be aware that people often do "reassemble" complete NES sets (i.e., get all the parts, accessories, box, etc separately, and then put them all together and try to pass them off as "new and complete").
