Played some more Red Dead Redemption (360) tonight! First mission I played was the one where you meet the Irish guy (where he leads you to a small group of outlaws who are rumored to be hiding a machine gun), and the second one I played was another West Dickens mission (one of those missions where you have to drive/ride in his stagecoach & shoot oncoming attackers). Other than that, a freakin' cougar came out of nowhere & killed my horse, lol (that good horse you get after helping Bonnie tame wild horses, too...). Not too long after, I found an abandoned tamed horse at the side of the road, so that'll have to do for now.

BTW, my completion percentage is at 22.2%, and I'd like to know, is that only counting story completion, or does it facor in extras as well?

Red Dead is a game I just couldn't finish for some reason. I tend to get into these big open world games and quitting for Various reasons My save got deleted in Sleeping Dogs and I wasn't going to play it again, and than for San Andreas I'm forever stuck on the stupid mission with the toy bi-plane.

Yeah, I'm the same way when it comes to open world games, lol.

Ultimate Spider-Man - Can't really remember what happened with this one. I know I really liked it, but just never finished it for some reason (got close though, I think).

Prototype - Didn't like the way the entire city became dangerous & hostile (whether due to military rule or infected areas) the further you got into the game. There was just no opportunity to goof off anymore, which is always part of the fun when it comes to open world games.

InFamous - Like USM, this is one I really liked, just never got around to beating it (got to the second island & did a few missions, then just stopped for some reason :/).

I'm going to try & finish RDR, though.

Just got done playing some more RDR (360). Got a little more time than usual tonight, so I was able to get 4 missions in.

First one saw me fighting my way through a mine shaft, which was actually pretty cool (especially the part at the end where you got to ride the mine cart). Second one was another race (though not too bad since I got the hang of it now). Third one finally led me out of the desert & into a more lush environment (the swamp town had a unique vibe), which was a nice change of pace (albiet it was a short visit). As for the mission itself, it had a bit of everything, with a bit of stealth, normal combat, and fending off attackers while riding in a stagecoach. Fourth one was a big one story wise (it was neat seeing nearly everyone you've worked with thus far coming together for a single event), and it was all combat & a lot of it (the parts where you manned a Gatling gun were a real highlight, though). Other than that, I helped a pedestrian, bought some new properties, & hunted some deer (including a few bucks). Also tried to lasso a good looking horse, but it got away :/

Sorry for the double post, but I had to get my nightly progress in, lol.

Played some more RDR (360) tonight!

I played through two missions tonight. I'm now in Mexico, and holy difficulty spike Batman! The first one was a shootout where you were riding in a raft & you had to fight off your attackers who were on shore (the guys who chucked dynamite at you were responsible for a few deaths). Second one I played had me teaming up with an old gunslinger to save a stagecoach from some bandits, and while the mission itself was pretty short, it required you to use "Dead Eye" (bullet time) in order to complete, which was annoying because they made it more difficult to use (it used to automatically mark any targets you passed the reticule over, but you now have to mark each target manually...). Mexico itself seems to be more dangerous than New Austin, as I had to kill 7 wolves just trying to get to my destination, whereas wild animal attacks in New Austin (while they happened) were a rare event (at least I got a lot of pelts out of it).

Sorry for what's now a triple post, lol.

Time for my nightly RDR (360) update! (I know I'm getting into quadruple post territory with this one, so if I should stop, feel free to tell me)

Only had time for one mission tonight, but it was a cool one (even if it was tough). It was an escort mission, where I had to ride ahead/alongside of a train & protect it from attackers who were riding in from all directions to take it out.

Time for my nightly RDR (360) update!

Played through three missions tonight! First one was a more standard gunfight, though there was an escort part towards the end (it was slower paced though, so it wasn't that bad). Second one was just a standard gunfight (though they introduced fire bombs to your arsenal at the end). Third one was were things got hectic, as it was a "defend the stagecoach while driving it" type mission, and this time you were under a time limit O_O Pretty satisfying once I beat it though, lol.

The Xbox One sounds like a VCR when you put in a disc. Thoughts?

After seeing footage of Titanfall on 360 I'm starting to think most people are just going to get the game on that instead of upgrading to the Xbox One the actually looked okay which was surprising, what are other peoples thoughts on the matter?

I'm thinking the same thing. The same could be said about Tomb Raider, The Last of Us, CoD, Assassin's Creed, and every other game getting the cross generation treatment.

Not disputing that at all but this was clearly a crucial game for Microsoft in terms of selling Xbox One's.
Edit: And I just don't think it will live up to their original expectations.

I can't really comment on what Microsoft expects from Titan Fall. I know it's exclusive, but that doesn't automatically mean that they think it will sell well. They hope it will, but I just see it as giving more appeal to the platform. Whether that results in sales, is another subject. TitanFall isn't the reason why I bought an Xbox One.

It's better to focus on providing good software, rather than sales, because good software usually results in sales.

I know this a double post. but I just wanted to add, that they aren't relying on Titan Fall to sell Xbox Ones. Considering it came out on Xbox One, in March, it was clearly a priority, in that regard. However, coming out on Xbox 360 a month later, hardly means that they need it to boost Xbox One sales.

They would have made it Xbox One exclusive, if they really needed it to boost sales. Dead Rising 3 and Forza are the games I would say they put faith in.

They quite literally brought into the hype by giving money to EA to make the game exclusive to Xbox consoles (excluding PC) they clearly thought it would move more Xbox One's then it has Microsoft has always focused more on sales just look at the transition from Xbox to 360 and all the IP that were never seen again.

There's only so much progress they can make on these new games. Notice how the Xbox 360 version of Titan Fall is still in the same realm as the Xbox One and PC version. We're still really early in the generation, so they'd be fools not to put games that can still run on last gen hardware.

Pity they rushed Forza didn't look nearly as good as the demo footage they were showing off before release, Dead Rising 3 was fun though (for the most part). Microsoft would be silly to have every major game at launch Titanfall is just as important if not more so than Forza 5 and Dead Rising 3 those games didn't have nearly the amount of mass hype and anticipation that Titanfall was receiving it was clearly supposed to carry the Xbox One to at least E3 which it seems to be failing at.

I'm not saying Titan Fall is unimportant. There's just no way they can expect it to sell truckloads of Xbox One consoles, if it's available for PC and Xbox 360. If it was Xbox One exclusive, I would agree with you, but it's not.

Press Play announced their next game at Pax and in Edge magazine titled Project Totem for Xbox One/360.

Its a 2D puzzle Platformer.

In Project Totem you control two pieces of a totem pole at the same time with the same input. The challenge, the two are not always on the same path.

Project Totem plays in solid 60 fps full HD with controls tighter that tight. It feels both retro and new at the same time and its mind bending puzzle design and twitch gameplay present plenty of challenge for the experienced gamer.

Project Totem features a local “couch” co-op campaign that you can challenge yourself and a friend with. It is designed to be played right away and does not require tutorial or unlocks. The basic premise for the co-op campaign? We have doubled everything – except the double jump. It has been quadrupled!

A WORK IN PROGRESS

Time for my RDR (360) update!

Not much time today, so only one mission. It had some variety though, as you started out playing a few hands of Poker, followed by a couple of duels, then a small gunfight.

Don't put discs in your VCR.
