Out of curiosity, I looked at the list of best selling Xbox One games recently. I was stunned to find out it has half as many million+ selling games as the Gamecube. That's insane to me, especially since Xbox One far outsold the Gamecube. Gamepass is wild.
Even though the ROG Xbox Ally / ROG Xbox Ally X are still happening, reports are that development on the dedicated Xbox handheld have stalled out. Windows is so resource-heavy and poorly optimized for a handheld platform that MS are forced to solve that hurdle before proceeding with their own portable hardware.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,561 games (as of April 18th, 2026)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
@kkslider5552000 Yeah they seriously suck. Record profits and they shut down studios and lay off thousands. It's getting to the point where I seriously have to question the morals of Xbox fans for supporting the brand.
I love playing on my Xbox, but I dont think I'll be buying anymore games. Just play on GP until it gets to be too expensive then I'll drop the service.
It is sad to see the Xbox brand be squandered, but the one positive is it may lead to more games on Switch 2. If I looked into the future 15 years ago and saw Gears and Halo on a Nintendo console I wouldn’t believe it, but it seems likely now.
I would love to see XBOX and XBOX 360 games on Nintendo Switch Online. I play a lot of retro games, and I have my XBOX 360 still but I generally only have two active consoles at a time (currently Switch 2 and PS5), and playing older consoles is a rare brief novelty.
@NintendoByNature I downgrade myself from Ultimate to Premium. I couldn't justify paying $10 just for Ubisoft+, one I pretty much own everything they were adding to GP like the AC games and two after what Ubisoft did to XDefiant I wont support them. I will lost out on EA but after this week's news with them selling out to Saudi Arabia I wont support them either.
So by downgrading I will be saving myself $5 a month going from 19.99 to 14.99 and pretty much will still have what I had minus EA games.

Between this, the price hikes for consoles, and the newly announced $600/$1000 handhelds, I can only assume that Microsoft want to drive everyone to PC gaming as a cheaper alternative.
No one mourns the XBOX
No one cries, "They don't have games!"
No one pay the subscription from XBOX
The good man scorns the XBOX
Through their lives, our children learn
What we miss is Game Pass payment.
And goodness knows the XBOX's lives are lonely
Goodness knows the XBOX die alone
It just shows when you're greedy, you're left only on your own
Yes, goodness knows the XBOX's lives are lonely
Goodness knows the XBOX cry alone
Nothing grows for the XBOX, they reap only
What they've sown
