I enjoy the second Mass Effect. I played as a Soldier first, which was fun, and now I'm playing as a Vanguard. Vanguard is way more fun; I love smashing into people and then shotgunnen them. It's a dream come true.

I haven't played the first one since I only own a PS3 and my computer could never handle it. I wish I could but whaddya do.

Also, I heart Kasumi and want to have her babies.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

I was surprised when I first played this game, because I wasn't really into action games on the PC.

The characters and story are brilliant, but my jaw dropping moment was during the prologue of Mass Effect 2, with the ship breaking up, and just looking out into space. Jaw dropping as in it was an awesome sight, but also, because I was surprised my machine could handle it.

My gripe with the games is the scanning of the planets. In the first game, it was an absolute horror having to drop down onto those planets in that spaz-buggy (I use that word in the American sense) blowing up turrets. The second game made that task easier, but you had to keep going back and forth to refuel and restock on probes, which gave it a new level of tedium.

I can't remember having difficulty adapting to ME2's control scheme (it's been a while since I actually played it, but I can remember a function like ducking being removed or something. someone remind me.), but it was as enjoyable as the first one.

Also, (and masking a spoiler), I was genuinely shocked at an event on the final level of ME2, but glad it was because I took too long in reaching that point in the game, and that it can be averted. All I'll say was I was horrified, and very sad.

So did you guys play Paragon or Renegade. Played paragon with my main through both and did pretty well. Played through Renegade as my 2nd playthrough and got alot of my members killed. (didn't really bother maxing the ship out and loyalty quest the 2nd time around)

Going to replay through both games starting tonight.

WAT!

Kasumi is amazing, her loyalty mission is one of my favorite DLCs, though I'm still forever in love with Liara (yes I want to have little blue children, actual line from the game right there)

as for not being able to play the first, that does stink, though luckily for me, I actually built my laptop JUST to play Mass Effect, and I completely max out the graphics too, 720p, full lighting effects, cost me 1.2k for the dedicated graphics card and i7 processor, SO WORTH IT!

My soldier and vanguard are both paragon, as is my engineer, though I have a renegade infiltrator working her way through the first game, and will import her over once I finish. might make either my adept or sentinel a renegade, haven't decided yet and both are on Eden Prime still.

I know what you're referring to, and luckily for me I haven't had that happen, I managed to get lucky and avoid it since I already had everything done by the time I had to make that choice

what's this "or" nonsense?

I did both, but with ultimately more Paragon.

Freakin' love the Mass Effects.

Just beat the second one a few months ago. The ending made me crryy... And that's a big deal, because I've sat stone-faced in front of things like Mufasa's death unfazed.

Eagerly awaiting the 3rd installment!

I'm working on a game that's coming out soon!

Haven't you ever seen the Lion King?

two things posted at ME2s facebook page in the last hour.

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150334711256645.3...

I cannot describe how bad I want that gun, unfortunately, it's $650.00 USD, and I'm flat broke, oh well...

also, they posted the following status:

"It’s going to be a happy new year! Mass Effect 3 will have a pre-release demo in January 2012. The demo will have both single player and multiplayer sections, giving fans a taste of what’s to come on 3/6/12."

Cannot... wait...

oh that's how I do it too, it's always a mix, since the choices are always shades of gray instead of black and white. Both characters I've finished both games with though have ultimately been paragon, though I'm working on a renegade as well

probably, it sounds almost like it's just the beat from Afterlife (maybe all that can come through the walls to where you recorded it?)
