So I've been on a Mass Effect binge these past few days, and was wondering who else out there is a Mass Effect fan as well? I did a search and couldn't find a topic like this, so sorry if one already exists and I missed it.
I played through both as a paragon sheapard using soldier class. Was able to keep everyone alive in both games. Just need to play the Arrival to gear up for ME3.
WAT!

how did you keep EVERYONE alive? someone has to die on virmire if I'm not mistaken, I'm currently playing ME2 with my paragon (mostly) engineer, the only other classes I've really played so far are soldier and vanguard

Well beyond the Virime Part where i let Kaiden die.

ah, I let Kaiden die on my solider and engineer, and Ashley on my vanguard, I've never had someone die on the suicide mission, I'm well aware of how the mechanics for that works, I rig it just right so even unloyal squad memebers can survive (I usually have everyone's loyalty, but I've done it with a disloyal Zaeed before)
and @BlackFira, I'm familiar with how Wrex can die on virmire as well, but I usually have my paragon score high enough that I can talk him down, in fact, I can talk myself of a lot of stuff, whenever I can't do that, I just start shooting my vanguard has been able to single handedly take out a Geth Colossus with nothing more than a pistol in the first game on insanity
cant wait for mass effect 3 being ps3 as my main multiplat to buy games on it for i decided to buy me2 again in the hopes of replicating the choices if i could remeber it lol on my 360 version since it was sort of console exclusive at the time i dont think i did well lol
so i said screw it i'll just buy the 3rd one for the 360 instead and continue off my perfect first time save file, its pretty hard to copy your first time experince
Yep This game was one of the reasons got a 360 and the game that made me believe in HD gaming. Got the Platinum edition that came with "bring down the sky" DLC.
"We Hold the Line" may just be my favorite moment in gaming.

especially when the PS3 version is simply lacking some of the main choices of the original PC and xbox versions

that is such an epic line, Captain Kirrahe for the win!
I actually have the PC version, as I don't have an Xbox or PS3, slightly different in the combat interface but overall the same game, I have every single piece of DLC exept for Pinnacle station too
well you get the comic for the first game in the second game giving you a choices to choose that majorly will effect the third game plus one way or another it was essiental for the second game
i believe you got an update for a comic choices for the pc version if one didnt want to play the first one

you can do genesis to make a lot of the choices, but only the major ones, the mission on feros (among other things) isn't even MENTIONED in genesis, which does effect some portions of ME2, and probably 3, so while genesis helps, I don't consider it anywhere CLOSE to ME
