Got my computer running yesterday. Everything is working fine from what I can tell without an operating system. Cousin is going to courier a DVD with that on it this week (he has free access to most Microsoft products, the ones involved in business anyhow).

@irken MDK 1 is really dated imo, I wouldn't suggest getting it unless you're prepared for (or appreciate) serious blocky spritage and clunky controls. MDK 2 trumps it in every way possible imo (although MDK 1 doesn't have the puzzle sections - it's just a pure shooter).

I personally suggest grabbing Earthworm Jim 1 + 2, since they are sold together for $2.99. And Fallout 1 and 2 are far and beyond worth $2.99 each if you don't have them already.

@Mickeymac I can't believe I hadn't heard of M.A.X. and M.A.X. 2 before. They look great!

Am I supposed to be happy that I made you spend $30? /guilttripped But seriously, enjoy! 12 games for that price is an awesome deal. And all without DRM too.

If you've just made an account with GOG, there are a few free games you can get from them too. Of those I highly recommend Beneath a Steel Sky and Tyrian 2000.

Looks like MDK and MDk2 support joysticks (huzzah!)

EDIT Played a bit of both MDK and MDK 2, and MDK 2 is far superior in the controls and visuals.

Even though I haven't played TF2, I'm a huge fan of the "Meet The X" trailers. I hope that Valve can truly deliver something special with the "Meet The Medic" one. Oh, and I might play TF2 this week since it's free.
