Battlefield 4 is £5.99 on PSN over the Easter week, and given that I haven't played a FPS since BioShock Infinite (Star Wars Battlefront doesn't quite count IMO), I have to say that it is all pretty good fun!
The visuals, for a launch title, are still rather impressive to this day. The multiplayer continues to thrive too, with 33,400-odd players playing online yesterday evening.
There's some rumblings that The LEGO Movie or LEGO Marvel Super Heroes may well be one of the PS+ games this month.
Not a bad choice of you ask me!
I would like to think that the likes of Killzone: Shadow Fall, Knack and inFamous: Second Son will be as part of the service in the coming months too. Those three games are over two years old now.
Apologies for posting three times in a row, but if The Wall Street Journal wrote this story, I guess it is true, given that they don't post these kind of things without a source or confirmation.
Sony Corp. is planning to sell a more powerful version of its PlayStation 4 machine to handle higher-end gaming experiences, including virtual reality, people familiar with the matter said, while continuing production of its existing console that has so far sold more than 37 million units worldwide.
Existing PlayStation 4 owners would need to buy the new model to take full advantage of the enhanced graphics and power, though it is likely that the current model and the coming one would share the same software catalog, one of the people said.
The new console would be announced before the planned October release of the PlayStation VR, Sony’s new virtual reality headset, the people said. It would be able to handle ultra-high-definition resolution graphics. The upgraded console would also provide more power for running the PlayStation VR too.

Well that's interesting I suppose. Luckily they won't be ditching the older model, so I'll just stick with that. I still don't feel like I've gotten my money's worth yet with the original Ps4. There hasn't been a killer app for me yet. Bloodborne came very close but not quite.
Check out my YouTube channel if you love gaming, and Nintendo (especially Metroid) I think you'll enjoy my videos. :)

@DefHalan: Imagine the complaints if they repeated and offered the same game(s) more than once.
I believe Microsoft did it with Max and the Curse of the Brotherhood and Pool Nation FX though, the latter of which was repeated for THREE months in a row, to the point of being openly ridiculed!
To answer your question in simple terms, 'no', they do not.
To be fair, you haven't missed much (lately) that isn't on sale quite regularly anyway.
@Peek-a-boo: My two main gaming friends got PS4s and are pressuring me into getting one, and with a possible "slim" version releasing means possibly cheaper ways to get the system. But I wouldn't want to buy many games on the system, probably just wait to get them for "free" since I would have to pay for PS+
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
@Peek-a-boo: An article in TWSJ doesn't mean it's true, they have been wrong before. However, with all the other rumours as of late, I wouldn't be surprised if we actually do get a new PS4 model.
@DefHalan: Ah, fair enough! I didn't mean to come across quite like the way I did however, long(er) term PS+ subscribers would be vocally annoyed if a game was 'repeated' again.
Like I originally said, you haven't missed much lately in all honesty.
The last BIG month was back in July and August with the likes of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Rocket League available to download, the latter of which is still very, very popular to this day!
It's a good time to buy a PlayStation 4; Bloodborne and Until Dawn can now be found for £20/$25 each, as well as Firewatch, Gravity Rush Remastered, Street Fighter V and The Witness, the four of which begun this year very strongly.
You also have the upcoming Alienation, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, No Man's Sky and Persona 5 that will guaranteed you plenty of hours of joy too.
@WebHead: It seems strange, but I don't expect it to be much of an upgrade; If you already own a PS4, there will be little reason to buy this new model. It'll be for those who either buy every Sony console day one anyway or for those who are looking to get into VR. If there's a system on the market that's VR-ready and offers more than the original PS4 for roughly the same price? It definitely makes sense to release such a device before PSVR. I'm not sure if an early 2017 release would make a big difference. Better get it out so that people won't complain that they bought an ''old'' PS4 for VR, whilst Sony was planning on releasing a new model soon after.
@Peek-a-boo: I don't know. I feel as if at least 1 game is "new" then they could have 1 repeat. Maybe make sure it has been over a year since the game was originally given away too. (There are only two games given away per system, right?) Since the PS4 would be my 5th teir gaming platforms (Wii U, 3DS, PC, Mobile, then PS4) I wouldn't spend much money on it. I would probably just survive off the free games lol.

@Octane: I say it'll be for those who have 4ktvs and really fast wifi. But yeah I probably won't upgrade, at least not right away. I don't have a 4k TV and my current internet probably isn't fast enough.
@WebHead: I don't think a lot of people have, but Sony's making 4K TVs as well right? If any of the three console manufacturers is going to push 4K, it's Sony. I've seen 4K TVs on sale for as low as €500. I think they're going to be easily affordable in another year or two.
Still the main selling point would be that it's a better PS4. I wouldn't really recommend anyone buying a new 3DS if they already have the old model, but if you don't have one yet; you might as well spend the extra few bucks and get the new model. It's the same for the new PS4; It's interesting if you don't have one yet, but otherwise you might as well stick with your current model.
Happy to hear that Sony isn't going to split the libraries of the PS4/PS4.5. Although the sort of games I've cared about so far (Broken Sword, Disgaea, Brothers, the Transformers Platinum game) probably won't need masses more graphical power to function.
All this seems to be is a way to manage 4k graphics for the PSVR and 4k TV'ss few people actually own.
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?
