This month's PS+ games...coming in like a sledge hammer. Remnant II and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Awesome. Crisis Core and No More Heroes III are cool as well, but I've already played those and have no desire to return.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,537 games (as of December 22nd, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
@WaveBoy wholeheartedly agree. Not many positive to say about XSX controller. It’s why I use DualShock 4 for pc gaming. I don’t have a ps5 si I dunno how good the dualsense is but XSX controller is loud, obnoxious, uncomfortable and sometimes hurts. Took me two years to grow muscle memory for it so it’s not as weird to me anymore. Or was it 3? Frankly I don’t care that much.
@WaveBoy that’s extremely tacky yeah. I dunno why they didn’t just use the old model. I guess they wanted to make it easier for players to know who’s who? Lol.
OMG! OMG! OMG...!!! 😃😃😃 Barbie game on PS5....!!! 😃😃😃
And by Outright Games. 😁
Definitely I will get the game.
This is the reason I bought PS5, for 3rd party kids games.
Thank you, Outright Games !
This gen hasn't been going well for Sony. Had a bad start, and that bad start pretty much seems to have defined everything coming after. There's still not a single game on PS5 that you can't buy on PC or Xbox now- outside of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which will just come to PC and Xbox anyways. I don't even know why I own a PS5 anymore.

Somebody keep being sour with PS5 for no games.
Oh, well.
I keep get excited with upcoming 3rd party kids games for PS5.
The kids games by Outright Games, Microids, Merge Games, Team 17, Game Mill, etc.
And the farming sim games by Marvelous and Natsume.
My PS5 games library will keep growing and growing. 😊
Oh, also...
I have purchased Oceanhorn 2 on PS5.
The game will be arrived in several days later.
I have a good excuse to not play zelda botw / ttok and choose Oceanhorn 2 instead.
@VoidofLight To be fair, I just think there isn't really a reason to EVEN buy one unless you need a reliable 4KHD/Blu-ray player. And even then I can just get PS4 Pro for less than that...
Sony really hasn't put much out or done much for PS5 since it's launch. Granted it's better than what microsoft has been doing for the Xbox Series X but still...
So PS5 I'm giving a hard pass over but I will get a PS4 Pro though.
I sell my famous Chesapeake Tupperware.

DO YOU HEAR ME!?!
@DanijoEX-the-Pierrot Exactly. It's a good blu-ray player, but even then you can just get a PS4 Pro and have the same experience in that regard. I agree that Sony hasn't been floundering as hard as Xbox at the current- but it still just sucks to see that both of the current gen consoles are pretty much just dust collectors at this point in time.
The fact that the PS5 Pro is most likely coming out this year is unbelievable as well. Why do we need an upgrade or refresh for a console that barely even got pushed by games made for it to begin with? I can only think of a single game other than Astro's playroom that takes full advantage of the PS5's feature set, and even that game is going to be going to multiple platforms by the end of September.

I will probably get a Ps5 someday (because I want a good FFVII remake machine) but that's more out of my disinterest in ever getting too much into PC gaming and Xbox making me actively want to never support it again (the irony being they have the better (read: have shown anything of their) immediate future for their games, if for just actually having quantity for once). Also, compared to Xbox, even without trying, Sony will still be the better place for Japanese games by default anyway.
There are just some games unlikely to come to Switch or even Switch 2 anytime soon (if at all) and it'd be nice to play some of the more impressive games with less compromises anyway.
But at this rate I almost certainly won't get a Ps5 for another 2+ years.
@Ralizah I forgot Demon Souls existed. Same with Stellarblade, but I kinda like ignoring that game exists- given that it's just an uninspired clone of NieR without any of the actual reasons for why NieR is so good in the first place.
I do think the Astro games will probably remain exclusive though. Would say that first party titles would be a clear cut exclusive, but even Sony seems to be putting those on Steam for some reason.
@Grumblevolcano I only bought my PS5 for Final Fantasy XVI, Persona 6 (back before Atlus started releasing all of their games day 1 on all platforms), and Yoko Taro's next game. Now that I have a good PC though, I'll probably be playing Persona 6, Metaphor: Refantazio, and whatever Yoko Taro's working on on my PC. Same with Monster Hunter Wilds.

@VoidofLight Stellar Blade is a much more technical action game than NieR: Automata. I think both just happen to have attractive female characters in apocalyptic sci-fi settings.
The Astro-Bot devs are doing the Capcom thing where they're saying they'll consider a PC port if fans beg loudly enough, so I'd say it's almost certainly a lock for a port at a future date. Frankly, almost all of their first-party series are. The Last of Us. Ghost of Tsushima. Horizon. God of War. Ratchet and Clank. Returnal. Spider-Man. etc.
Astro's Playroom, as I understand it, is intimately connected to exploring the features of the PS5, though, so that'll probably remain an exclusive.
I bought a PS4 for Gravity Rush 2 and Persona 5. Although I also would have for FFVII Remake.
But now Gravity Rush is dead, Persona is multiplat, and the Final Fantasy games are all going to PC, so why in heck would I buy a PS5? Plus that period where they were imposing censorious and very vague new regulations on Japanese devs without proper communication, canceling the release of fully localized fanservice games (Omega Labyrinth Z), closing Japan Studio, etc. convinced me they were no longer the Sony I used to know and love, but some hateful Western brand wearing the Playstation identity like a skin suit.
It's a bit hard not having access to FFVII Rebirth immediately, but seeing how this generation has gone, I think I made the right choice.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
@Ralizah I wasn't just saying that it was a NieR clone because of 2B. There's a lot more to Stellarblade that makes it a shallow imitation of NieR as a whole. While the gameplay is different and more geared towards something like a souls-like, the main story feels like it was basically trying to be on the same level as NieR without being nearly as profound or interesting. At least from the stuff I've seen and heard about it. It basically just feels like the devs went "Hmmm.. let's make a game that's like NieR! People loved Automata, right?" without realizing why NieR worked in the first place, or why Yoko Taro's games are genuinely great.
Also yeah, it's sad seeing what Sony is becoming- along with just how everything is kinda going multi-plat now. I get why, but it feels like the only console worth buying at this point is the Switch, or whatever Nintendo puts out for the next big system. Nintendo is the only company left that actually values exclusivity for their console and understands that you need to have games on your system for people to even want to make a purchase for said system.

The main counterpoint at the moment is that a lot of the big multiplat games don't actually go to Switch. So you need Switch plus 'thing which runs fancy games' (assuming you want to play the newest Final Fantasy or whatever.) For me, I really don't want to have to deal with a gaming PC and I certainly don't want an xbox, so PlayStation is the only game in town (or at least the simplest). This might become less true if the Switch successor starts having a larger percentage of big multiplat games, but it's a definite draw of PS5 at the moment.
