@Magician
Infamous Second Son is, to this day, one of my favorite PS exclusives I've ever played. Spiderman failed to grab me though. I see it's great, I perceive it, but for some reason it doesn't resonate with my engagement. Not sure why. I'll give it another go on Deck at some point. Being stuck on TV may have contributed to my disinterest at the time.

I don't see what a PlayStation handheld would offer than the Steam Deck doesn't. Steam wool always have a vastly better library, and pretty much all PS exclusives are going to PC. What can they even offer to differentiate their hardware?
@JaxonH I grabbed the World + Iceborne combo for $20 weeks ago. Still a crazy deal!
Isn't Rise unplayable on Deck or something thanks to DRM?
@Ralizah
It broke due to a DRM update, but Valve quickly released a hot fix, plus Capcom quickly removed the DRM to fix it. May have re-updated it since with the DRM, but if so, it's working now.
But ya, I swore to Capcom on social media that, if they're gonna bork my games I pay them money for, I'll bork their money they give me games for, and pledged to pirate every release on Steam henceforth until they stop adding DRM to games post-release.
Of course, I'm not really going to pirate. I just don't do that really. But I will skip their games until deep sale. Or hey, I wanted to wait for Switch 2 anyways to see which games get ported over (Dragon's Dogma came to Switch, pretty sure DD2 will release on Switch 2) so not buying their games on Steam just aligns with that goal.
Still, MH is always an exception. I put 800 hrs into Switch version and have 80 on the Deck. I made THE best controller config on the community layouts page too. Just like Switch. LT for gyro for blademasters, but toggle with L3+R3 to also activate RT for gyro, for gunners and insect glaive users. So it has both control schemes covered for gyro. You'd be right as rain with my config. I got you bro 😀

Curious to see if these Starfield to PS5 rumours pull through, because it would be exactly what I need as someone who likes Bethesda games but doesn’t have a proper PC nor an Xbox. It makes very little sense though, because it would sway many people like me back to buying a PlayStation copy instead of shilling out for an Xbox.
My new goal is to get every story-based trophy in my current PS3/PS4 library (or at least the ones that you get for defeating the final boss, seeing the final cutscene, watching the credits, etc.)
Now Skyrim doesn't ever "end", so I'll consider it completed after I finish the main questline.
Once they're all done, I'll go back and try to get all the other trophies that I can.
@Magician Because they've done almost nothing with it in terms of big releases. This home console generation still feels like it was stapled on to the last.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
@Ralizah I feel it's a byproduct of the industry leaning hard on remakes, remasters, and ports. Usually those are reserved for the end of a console's lifecycle. Where as PS5 began with crossovers and a Demon Souls remake. If the fanbase were polled, I wonder which game would be considered the defining game of the generation?
Switch Physical Collection - 1,537 games (as of December 22nd, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
Played through Remnant: From the Ashes over the past week. A game better experienced with friends rather than alone. But now I'm ready for the next PS5 game. With that...I think I need a release date for V Rising.
Love me my vampires.

@Anti-Matter Had to check out a video of Pool party after seeing that cover art! Actually looks like a fun party game. Gameplay reminds me a little of some of the events in the Buzz Junior games on PS2.
@dmcc0
Too bad, the Switch version of Pool Party will be Code in Box (again) while the PS5 version will be full game in disc according to play-asia. 😕
That's why I posted the PS5 cover version.
@Anti-Matter Yeah, I'm not too bothered by a physical version as I'm heading more towards digital recently. It's nice to see the game collection on a shelf, but I just don't have the space for them anymore and digital is more convenient for me (and easier to buy without my wife nagging me about buying another game 😂 ) - I'd probably get something like this digitally anyway.
I've only ever bought 2 code in a box games, and both times they were bought from an online store and were cheaper than the digital versions. I kind of understand the code-in-a-box thing for stores, but it seems like such a waste for an online retailer - I wish they had the option of just opening the box and emailing me the code to save shipping an otherwise empty box 🤷♀️
I see that Sifu will be a PS Essential game for March. I would argue that it is the best kung fu game released...ever. Please, for the love of God, at least click "add to library". Make Sony cut a check to publisher Microids and developer Sloclap.
Amazing game, don't skip. If you like martial arts movies, you owe it to yourself to play this game.
Started up FFVII Rebirth over the weekend, and am starting to have a lot of fun with it now that it's started to open up (I've been exploring the Grasslands).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
