@kkslider5552000 Other than battery life improvements in the Mariko update, I don't think there would have been many benefits to waiting to buy the Switch. The games certainly aren't worth sleeping on considering they rarely go down significantly in price.
You covered 3DS.
Nintendo was pretty generous early on with the Wii U between the Digital Deluxe Promotion, offering a free first-party game to people who bought and registered Mario Kart 8, etc.

I do agree with the Nintendo games but they did quietly release a version of the Switch with better battery life a while ago. If I had waited, I would've had an objectively better version of the Switch at the same price.
Only one mission left in Ace Combat 7! This has to be the most stressful game I've played in ages, and I'm currently also playing the Ninja Gaiden Sigma games, lol.
Seriously, it does seem a lot harder than the other AC's I've played.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
I've spent an awful lot of time playing Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered on PS5. The enhancements are all completely natural and it helps me immerse myself in the world a lot better. I like that the entire world is loaded in at the same time now, because I heard that parts of the world loaded in as you came closer to them, like in Zelda: The Wind Waker. Haven't played many games that use adaptive triggers yet but it feels really firm and tactile on DualSense.
I love Spider-Man's voice acting, just goes to show just why Yuri Lowenthal does so many projects, he has vulnerability, wit, and humanity that have blended in such a perfect way. I also love MJ's portrayal, Laura Bailey kills it for the millionth time. Their relationship is genuinely touching and feels so real. Helps the writing's great too.
@TheJGG I have played through the game 2 times and I absolutely love it! I want the sequel to be filled with the rest of Spidey villains. Hobgoblin, Greengoblin, Venom, Carnage, Misterio (even if he is in the Raft or in some other prison), Sandman(even if Peter destroyed him and keep a vial of his sand in him).
Did you collect all the backpacks? They have some very sentimental info that is adorable at times!
I won't link the image of the scene itself, but DDLC+ is censored pretty notably on PS4, and it has NOTHING to do with any sexual content. It's like a change developers would have had to make for Nintendo in the mid-90s. I genuinely don't understand Sony's content policies any more.

@Ralizah ''However, the PlayStation version of the game has some visual changes to one of the scenes. To avoid spoilers, it’s the scene towards the end of Act 2 in the classroom, just before the weekend starts. I designed the changes myself, and I feel confident in them because I don’t consider the psychological effect of the scene to have been diminished in any way; I wouldn’t have accepted that kind of compromise.
Basically, the change is not a big deal–I just wanted to make everyone aware of it in advance, because I know that DDLC fans will notice it as a difference from the original game. I wanted to avoid a scenario where people would spot the difference and think that the game was unfairly tampered with by some other company.''
It isn't a ''big deal'' according to the dev, and I looked it up, it's only a minor change? It's a weird one, cause I don't see why it needs censoring at all...
@Octane Pretty sure Sony doesn't take kindly to developers who sound the alarm about censorship in Playstation versions of games, and the dev obviously doesn't want to poison the well with one of the major manufacturers. Thus the mousey wording about the censorship.
Anyway, if we're going back to the mid-90s and have to start censoring the color of blood in certain games, I'm pretty much done with the Playstation ecosystem going forward. If something this needless isn't a "big deal," then, realistically, nothing is a big deal anymore, because any bit of censorship can be rationalized away by people who aren't personally affected by it because they don't play those games.
Needless to say, it seems the censorship only affects the Playstation versions of the game.
As for why? If I had to guess, I'd say it's probably something to do with depictions of violence and young-looking characters, but I'm also pretty sure Playstation has hosted games featuring awful things happening to young characters for a long time now. It's hard not to see this as another double-standard being applied to games featuring anime-esque art design.
@Ralizah The only reason I can imagine is that they have a large department that oversees this stuff, and a certain person/team gets assigned these types of games and feels the need to censor them, and it just is never questioned.
I think I've heard that they were downscaling a lot of stuff, also explaining that ''some'' indie dev find it hard to communicate with Sony. I think they're just understaffed in a lot of areas. And where there aren't enough people, time is money, so you just don't question what your co-workers do, because you already have plenty of work to do yourself.
Maybe I'm wrong, but it's slowly starting to make sense I think.
This might be a weird question, but I redownloaded warfacd on my switch today, and my profile has the same name as my PlayStation account (so this might all be a huge coincidence) but since I’m playing online on my switch, and think I’m accidentally playing in my ps4 account, that won’t try to buy ps plus on my PlayStation right?
@Slinkoy1 im not 100% sure, but probably not. It looks like that game has crossplay and, while I've never played it or any games crossplay at all, it seems like thats how it normally functions. You could try to check your PSN account to see if it has you under a plus membership. Hope that helps!
I've been playing Sackboy: A Big Adventure and it's pretty good. First impression - the name is bad. It's way too generic. And that feeling kind of fits the gameplay I guess. It seems to me that Sony gave Sumo Digital some money and said "we need a platformer in time for the PS5 launch, and we need it STAT!" and the Sumo Digitsl staff just took their favorite parts of other platformers and through a game together. It's a 3d co-op platformer (Mario 3D World) with a yarn/craft aesthetic (LittleBig Planet, Kirby's Epic Yarn, etc), were you can collect costumes for your character (Yoshi's Wooly World), with music themed levels (Rayman Legends), and at the end of a level you're given a trophy based on how many blobs you collect (also Rayman Legends). I'm having a hard time thinking of anything this game does that actually sets itself apart from other platformers. Maybe because I'm an avid Nintendo gamer this type of thing doesn't impess as much.
That being said, it's a good game. It's not amazing but it is a pretty chill time and it looks pretty impressive. It's subtle but the game actually renders real-time reflections on appropriate surfaces. I play a level or three in between heavier games like Dark Souls III (curse you Old Demon King).

Give me a heads-up if you're going to send a request please.
With NVMe support being added on PS5 soon, I need a heatsink for the 2TB Samsung Gen 4 980 Pro I bought during Prime Day.
But the heatsink and NVMe combined have to be less than 11.25 mm thick. Given standard dimensions of NVMe, that means the heatsink itself needs to be under 8.9 mm or about 3.35" max
I found this one for laptops but I'd like to see what else is out there
@Losermagnet Sackboy is just LBP in 3D, but without the level editor. The aesthetics, costumes, narration, level progression are all very LBP. Don't recall if it had music levels though, but in essence it's just a 3D LBP. Bit of a shame there's no level editor.
So, after doing some research, I ordered 4 different heat sinks, some of which came with 2 different sizes as a dual pack. I use NVMe for a number of other things, so I figured I’d just order a small handful and try them out.
The best recommended heat sink is the EKWB branded one. Because the top of the NVMe is uneven (controller chip sits at different height than storage chips) it’s best to cut and mix the 0.5mm thermal pads and 1mm thermal pads, using thinner pads on the higher portions and the thicker pad on the lower portion to make it even on the top where it presses against the heatsink. It seems it should barely fit in the PS5, but I can’t say for certain. If it does though, this seems to be the go to choice,
I've been playing Disaster Report 4, and while I don't mind the budget visuals & fps stutters, my goodness is it a slow game (not related to performance issues, your character simply moves as slow as a snail for some reason). Certainly an interesting game though, even if it's not something most would consider "good".
