The P5R steelbook editions went a bit cheaper before a time, but yeah, now the cheapest buy it nows are all around $50 - 60.
Which isn't honestly that bad. You'd pay that if you were buying it at launch.
Definitely prefer paying $40, though.
Interestingly, the P5S PS4 steelbooks are WAY rarer than the ones for the Switch release.
@TheJGG Yeah, I have the steelbooks for both versions of P5 now, since I also preordered the original back in 2017. They're awesome. Kinda wish I hadn't cheaped out and only bought Strikers on Switch, though, considering how expensive the PS4 steelbook is now.
I'm probably going to make sure I get the game by launch, since I really want to get the steelbook. I regret the fact that I had to miss out on royal's steelbook honestly.

Just got my pre-order in at EB Games! I might cancel if I manage to get one on Amazon when it goes live there, just because that's where most of my pre-orders are and it would be easier to track. Really excited for this one to come out.
@Slowdive pretty cool design (green hair vs blue hair) also the water physics looks good, it really seems like most of the demons will have unique skills and that’s great.

@Slowdive Really happy they brought back the awesome Mermaid design from IV: Apocalypse!
Special edition hasn't gone live in the UK yet but standard edition has been up for a few days (some retailers did before June 21st, others went up on June 21st). Then again, it is published by Nintendo in Europe so seeing the standard edition up is to be expected.
Was checking my phone all day today for Amazon, and ONE TIME I left it in my office while doing something, 15 minutes later came back and saw it had gone live and sold out.
But GameStop started taking in-store pre-orders at 2 o’clock central time today, and I stopped in after work and secured the Premium Edition. Felt so lucky. This thing was even harder to get than the Metroid Dread Collector Edition.
Will still try to watch out for listings though. If I catch anything I’ll try to post.
Gonna grab an extra copy of the game physically though and display that steelbook case. It’ll go nicely on the steelbook shelf.

@JaxonH I'm envious of anyone in the US who managed to get their hands on the Persona 5 Strikers steelbook. Why they made that exclusive to Best Buy only in that region I will never understand

Oh I feel you. Half my steelbooks were exclusive to a certain region or retailer in another region.
In fact, right now I have a copy of Zelda Skyward Sword preordered from Australia, because of the exclusive steelbook offered down there (I have the original steelbook from the Wii too). I’m constantly having to buy games out of region and import. What makes it more difficult is when those retailers don’t ship globally, and I have to either have a friend in that region buy it for me or resort to using a forwarding service. And in rare cases, eBay if I can find a good deal. Skyward Sword was one of those. But for $70 shipped, I’ll take it.
Still have a bunch of steelbooks from PS4 games. But they’re so much more common on Xbox/PS, and so much larger. I love how gorgeous the Valkyria Chronicles steelbook is, and Persona 5. I do wish more Switch games would get steelbooks though.
