@Ralizah I was talking exactly about the dlc, I had some gold points to spare and I bought them. They are way better than the wild area when it comes to exploration but of course they also have the same problems: Pokemon appearing out of nowhere and the horrible frame rate, if you play online it always stutters. Overall I consider them better than the main game, but to be honest soul silver and heart gold were the last main titles that I actually enjoyed. I really hope that they learned from this sort of experiment that was the wild area but only time will tell. Right now the switch is the only console I own so I don’t really care about amazing graphics, the only thing I care about is good performance. It’s similar to Persona 5 Strikers: the graphics can be blurry, the loading times can get to 30 seconds but the frame rate is overall really solid (especially after playing age of calamity), of course 60fps would be better but those 30 are good so fine by me. And the trailer of Smt V seemed to have good performance and an interesting overworld so I’m all for it.

With Arceus, it looks like the pokemon are purposely low FPS, since they're 2D models that eventually transition into 3D ones the closer you get. I guess they got rid of the random popping up stuff that happened in Sword and Shield.

Speaking of DLC how much do we wanna bet Atlus is gonna release some big SMT music pack of songs to play in game again like they did for Nocturne HD for like 15 dollars on the same day

Brand new demon from the Celtic myth: Fionn mac Cumhaill. This one looks really amazing, love the design.

@Primo40295 Oh yeah, I remember wondering who that demon was in the trailer. The bishie energy is strong with that one.

Fionn is probably the coolest looking new demon they've added. Love his look and animations

I wonder if they're going to be selling the special edition in NA?

@Ralizah Someone actually asked about this and they said to wait for tomorrow for more pre-order info. They're clearly hiding something

I may pre-order…. Been a fan since Nocturne. Strange Journey holds a special place in my heart!

Definitely pre-ordering as well. Doubly so if they have a steelbook or special edition a la Persona 5 Royal and Catherine Full Body that isn't region exclusive like Persona 5 Strikers was

Been a fan since Persona 3 Portable but I personally hold mainline in a slightly higher regard

I honestly can't wait for November, since this'll hopefully be my first main series game.

If there's a special edition or one with a steelbook, I'll be getting that. Will be watching twitter and amazon like a hawk tomorrow morning.

I'd like a slightly stripped down version of the Japanese special edition that ditches the T-Shirt. Would love that custom case, demon compendium, and arranged soundtrack, though.

We didn't get the Nocturne special edition, but they're being squirrely about the NA release for a reason. SOMETHING is up. I'm hoping this is a strategy to signal to fans that they should be ready to order the special edition when it goes live tomorrow before an army of scalpers and bots swoop in and snatch up the entire stock.

@Ralizah Still have no idea why the Nocturne special edition was never brought overseas. They also did the same exact thing with Persona 5 Strikers' Treasure Box edition, although admittedly I find the contents there to be way less compelling

@TheFrenchiestFry Yeah, even if they didn't expect the games to blow up the charts, the special editions would surely still sell well.

There often seems to be no rhyme or reason to what Atlus does.

I'm just glad NA hasn't had to deal with the absurd issues European Atlus fans have had to deal with. I hope, at least, that releases have been more consistent since SEGA stepped in.

@Ralizah Europe has gotten the short end of the stick for years even when Atlus was still part of Index and the localization windows were way shorter compared to them under SEGA. I think Europe had to wait like an additional 4 months or so to get SMT IV

We waited more than a year for SMT IV and we never got a physical edition which is terrible; three months for apocalypse. The same thing happened with Persona 2 Eternal Punishment which was never actually released here. I don’t know why but this still happens, for example the Great Ace Attorney Collection will be available only as a digital release. Personally I’m just glad that we will get a simultaneous worldwide release, but I would love to buy a special edition with at least the soundtrack and the compendium (don’t care if it is in English and not my first language) without the hassle of importing it. Speaking for my country, Italy, Persona 5 royal was the first ever Atlus game translated in Italian: I actually don’t care a lot about that but of course this explains why there aren’t a lot of jrpg fan here.

@Primo40295 I'm still shocked The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is getting a physical release in the States. They'd been digital only with that series throughout the 3DS era.

Considering they're planning a "simultaneous worldwide release" for SMT V, I assume that means it'll hit even smaller markets at the same time.

@Ralizah That’s for sure. A lot of people here discovered Atlus thanks to the translation of Royal, Strikers and Nocturne were translated too so they’re definitely on the right track.

I honestly didn’t know about Ace Attorney being digital only in the States, but I think I will import this one: this is definitely one of my favourite series of all time and thankfully the switch isn’t region locked.
