Topic: Playstation Plus free games question...

So I got the 30 day free trial of Playstation Plus today and started browsing the free content for it (discounts don't matter to me since I don't actually spend money here). Anyway, I know that free to play games are only free whilst you are still a PS+ member, of which I do not plan to be after the trial is up. So say I downloaded a PS Mini that is playable on both PS3 and PSP and then I transfer the game over to my PSP. Would the game expire on my PSP in 30 days as well? My 2 systems are using different PSN ID's if that matters.

You shouldn't even be able to play it if you're using different IDs. But yes, it would expire on the PSP as well. PS+ applies to both systems.

Ah I see. Well that kind of sucks. I thought since the systems had 2 seperate id's that the PSP wouldn't really be aware of my PS3 plus status going away. Oh well, those games don't really matter to me anyway...i'll take anything for free though Thanks for the response

With the PSP, you actually need to keep connecting it back to the PS3 to keep Plus games going, I think. I think what happens in the PS3 copies across the expiary date countdown with the game software. If you don't "refresh" it (as I've done in the past, then those PSPlus games will be rendered expired, even if you keep your Plus subscription going, as I have.
