On a more on-topic note: Hyperdimension Neptunia mk 2 is... fan service in a tea cup. Kinda sad almost everyone is going to ignore it for that reason though, because the game is really very awesome.

I'm currently trying to slog my way through the first game, I'm alllllmost at the end, and I can't wait to play the much improved mk.2!

Simple igataki left team ninja. I mean NG3 is bad and all impressions of the mew Dead or alive havenn't been favorable. Wait until devil's third.

I enjoy playing the Sony PlayStation 3 by Sony. Anyway, I really wish they'd put up more full games on the store.

@Splat Yes, it's awesome and you're going to love it!

@kkslider5552000 Ninja Gaiden 3 is disappointing. I'm not going to delve too much into it, as I'm writing the review for Push Square, but I'm beyond a die-hard fan of the series and I'll say this much: Turning the longest standing hardcore action title in our industry into a game to fit the masses (i.e. casual gamers) is a slap in the face of the true fans of the series. I'm hoping that Team Ninja realizes that Yosuke Hayashi direction for the company is going to lead to their demise and they send him down the road. Otherwise, I think Team Ninja will be meeting their end quite soon.

I also highly recommend getting Rayman 3 HD, it's very good for the $10. I want a new Rayman 4 now

I want that game. I got the demo and I couldn't stop grinning; it has nice gameplay AND humor. Speaking of Rayman, I got the demo of Rayman Origins and it is fantastic. They need to put it on the store.

Yeah, see, if the game is called "Ninja Gaiden" then the only person that can make it good is the person that developed the original. It's a rule in the game industry: if someone new comes in and does something different it's AUTOMATICALLY A 0/10 OMFG ITS DIFFERENT HOW DARE THEY.

And then the same people complain about the lack of innovation in the games industry. Gotta love entitlement.

Ninja Gaiden is a good game. It's different, but it's good.

Demise? Making a game for the masses by default means it's going to bring in more money.

Hardcore folks can complain about the lack of difficulty and the sanitisation of themes all they like, but hardcore people also need to realise that a game doesn't magically become a bad game because it wasn't designed for them. And there's no real point to making a game for a hardcore audience, because hardcore gamers don't buy five copies of every game, but selling to a broad audience means a previously hardcore series gets to sell five times as many games.

If you don't like it, feel free to boycott Tecmo Koei etc etc. It's rather irrelevant though since I singlehandledly give that company its profit margin for outside of Japan

@Choco Actually, I like Tecmo Koei and always have, but regardless of what crowd Ninja Gaiden III is made for, it's just not a good game. It's highly repetitive and uses the same gimmicks over and over again. Not to mention that, but the controls use and auto-tracking system that doesn't allow you to make precision moves and then swarms you into a mass pack of enemies that cloud your vision. I don't care who made it, it's not good gameplay. Not to mention that, but the horrid Move implementation, that requires you to manually switch into the control options via the XMB to even get past the main menu, then tells you to press unresponsive buttons on the next screen, is flat out piss-poor implementation. I'm not going to delve any deeper than this, but I highly recommend staying away from this title if you're a fan.

I've loved the Ninja Gaiden series since I was six years old and this game doesn't deserve to hold the title. And just for the record, I absolutely adore the casual DS Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword.

Tecmo Koei is really pushing the Dynasty Warriors forward with awesome releases like DW7 and DW: Next, but I'm sorry, this isn't a good game man. It's the biggest letdown of my entire life when it comes to gaming. I'd never boycott Tecmo Koei, as their Omega Studio is very good and caters to a small niche crowd, but I'm very disappointed with Team Ninja right now.

Best thing about Dark Souls? Watching your friends rage.

It's actually a pretty difficult game. As is Demon's Souls. It's also hilarious when they beat a boss and literally scream like a little girl.

Great game.

I thought Demon's Souls was pretty difficult. I found Dark Souls to be a cakewalk, which disappointed me greatly.

But then I have been playing this unofficial "series" since King's Field on the original PlayStation. After King's Field IV, there is no game out there that knows how to be as brutally hard and yet compelling, so the Souls games were always going to go downhill.

Edit - should mention they're still good games, no denying that. It's just disappointing that people jump into Dark Souls, go "OMFG awesome," and then don't realise it's actually the least of a series of six games.

Anyone played Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning or the demo?

So the fact that some people have no idea what King's Field is, yet love Dark Souls makes them whatever you're trying to say about them? Who cares? It's a very fun, rewarding game.

Why do you get so defensive at the mere perception that someone doesn't agree with what you're saying?

All I said was that Dark Souls is the least of the six games, and it's a pity that so many people start, and stop, at Dark Souls without getting a chance to experience the far harder, and far better, King's Field series. Being the least doesn't make it bad. It just makes it the least.

So relax. I wasn't attacking you, rendering your life meaningless, or whatever else you read into what I wrote. I do however suggest you get yourself a copy of Kings Field IV. You'll thank me later.
