I will be playing MAG tomorrow evening, definitely. I hope they keep doing these prerelease open beta thingies for online games (this, Uncharted 2, not sure if there were any others). My interest in online games generally does not last much longer than this, anyway, so it saves me money!
I would like to point out that it has been PROVEN that the existance of the Xbox 360 version of FFXIII has had a negative impact on the overall quality of the PS3 version. Squenix declined to put the Japanese voice track on the PS3 version not because there wasn't room on the Blu-Ray, but because they wanted to keep the two verisons "as close as possible." Only thing the PS3 version still has going for it is only being on one disc and uncompressed video/audio (which is great, but still...the cuts suck).
Since Final Fantasy XIII will not be on mutiple disc, that's something we should be glad for. Also, Square Enix wanted to avoid favorism towards the PS3 version of the game, so people without an PS3 but have an Xbox 360 won't feel left out. Even then, the PS3 version is still superior to the Xbox 360 version.
I grant you that a lot of people wouldn't really care if the Japanese tracks are included or not (myself included), but there IS the principle of the issue. Namely, Squenix announced at E3 2008 that the 360 version would NOT affect the quality of the PS3 version in any way. In other words, they failed to follow through on this promise. Anyone who tells me I have no reason to be pissed about that has either not been paying attention or is just plain stupid.
I apoligize for not paying attention, but you really don't have an reason to be pissed at Square Enix. I have heard nothing that would negatively affect the PS3 version.
Didn't the Square Enix people say they were having trouble with the 360 version and that it could be released at a later date. I think it's going to be coming out the same day as the PS3 version though.
Josh, I was addressing masterswordperson, not your question. You just happened to post while I was typing my lengthy reply. I've never heard of that, what you said. I very much doubt they'd release the PS3 version first over here, even if there are delays in the 360 version.
Oh lol. I looked it up and it was what Stuffgamer was talking about, the size limitations and they are just taking out the Japanese voices, so it's a nonissue.
After having InFamous since its release date I finally finished it. I put it down 2 missions before the final boss fight, don't know why because it's an awesome game. The ending (good) is epic. Planning on playing through the evil side for trophies and the ending
Damn you Sony! I finally bought my $50 PSN Card on eBay (was $54, cheaper than the $59 MaximusCards charges), but when I went to redeem it... bam, in the last final step, it comes up with an error message "The funds could not be added to your wallet"... according to some threads on the official PS Forums, Sony is aware of this common problem since before Christmas and is supposedly working on it... 3 weeks later and it happens, now to me? WTF? There's only 3 days left of the SEGA deal... If I can't get my $50 added before that I will have waisted $50...

@darkg if you contact sony before the deal is over and explain thats what you want then they aught to help you out somehow. whether they give you the deal after it has passed once the issue is resolved or give you additional cash to even out the difference.

... and some games can't be played online... and some content is even IP blocked on the store, among of which are Movie previews and stuff like that...
I contacted the seller, and they are giving me a different code for me to use, so I will probably get my games by tonight, yay!

mag blows hard. keeps disconecting me everytime, and cant join a game. and mind you i have a 90% wireless connection so this game probably just has bad servers. and i can play every other online game just fine without lag!

On a different note, I just turned on my PS3 and my friends list was gone. I logged out my local account and logged back in (I didn't see a Sign Out button under the PSN tab -- am I imagining this, or shouldn't there be a sign out button?), and now it's back. Odd. Oh well, time to test out MAG... Here goes nothing.

Don't worry, is solved now, thanks anyway... the seller gave me another code and it worked, and asked me not to try using the previous one again, so I guess they are going to sort things out with Sony directly
So I'm about to start buying th stuff I want: Sonic Rivals Sonic Rivals 2 Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars Super Monkey Ball Adventure that leaves me with less than $3... if there's anything good to buy at that price I might grab it...

well i got on once without a problem and there was absoluteley no lag what so ever. i was baffled!! and it was a full game!! so props to zipper for the no lag!
