@SilentJ... thanks man, I honestly didn't even know I was getting one until it was there.

I got the new 320gb PS3 Slim and out of the box I was at like 295gb Usable Space, so you can expect around 20-30gb used for sure.

Oh, I landed Time Crisis Raging Storm on Cyber Monday. Get this, on Amazon that whole "Waitlist" I'm sure you saw if you were watching the deals is worth clicking. I got Time Crisis with what it called a "Moderate" chance of getting it, and was offered RE5 with "Poor" chances of getting it, but I wasn't at my computer and missed the pop-up to buy it.

Guess I'll have to format my PS3 really soon but I kinda hate to lose the videos and demos that were on the system already. Their only music videos and I've yet to touch any of the demos but 10gbs is worth it.

I'll try that and report back here with the results soon enough.

Please tell me some of yall are going to get NFS: Hot pursuit for christmas. i think one or 2 of my friends are but with the whole "autolog" system ive heard the game is amazing if you have friends playing it as well. i picked it up for black friday but wont be in town much before christmas so most of my gaming will be done there. GET THE GAME

Oh I was about to ask that. I wouldn't think it true because the ps3 is marketed as a blu ray player on the box and it even has a remote and on some blu ray copies of movies I've seen it says playable on ps3 so I'm not sure....

Lol, to sound really fanboyish, I enjoy my Free Services! I love my new avatars I got from the Rewards Program.

I don't even use the rewards program, though I'm signed up. I haven't been spending much time on my ps3 though.

That happened awhile back and then when the Other OS was taken away it was assumed that it screwed them too, but I'm guessing it didn't Lol.

In other news, MY PSP JUST ARRIVED!!!! I know I'm late to the PSP party but it feels good finally owning one. I told myself I would hold off until Christmas before opening it but I'm not sure if I can keep that promise to myself.

Lol an Epic LAN party match.

@SilentJ... MGS Peace Walker and Ys7 are must haves. Get them both and be very very happy.

Think of it as a rental service, then. You "buy" a subscription that gives you access to an expanding number of games.

You don't keep Netflix/ Mubi/ video shop rentals/ Library books after the rental period expires, either.

Yeah, and honestly think of how many games you spend over fifty bucks for and sell back for around ten bucks. Here you spend fifty and get hundreds of dollars of games and discounts on all kinds of stuff. Not to mention the Betas, Rewards Program (got in because of the plus service), themes and avatars, etc. I think its well worth the money.

You get to keep games you bought at a discounted price for right? You just lose the "free" ones? That's my interpretation as an outsider, can anyone verify this?

Yeah, you keep anything purchased with the Plus discount. You will just lose the free stuff.

I decided to use my PSP for now and open up my Move bundle for Christmas. I didn't realize that new Sackboy thing was a move enabled PSN game so I might have to open up the Move bundle sooner than expected. The reviews for Ys seven have been really great so I went ahead and ordered it. Can't wait! I've really been craving a good jrpg since I never got White Knight Chronicles. Does it matter if I haven't played any other MGS games before playing Peacewalker? I have MGS one and am planning on playing at least that one first.

@SilentJ.... I have yet to play Peacewalker, but considering its set before the first PSone game, I dont think it really matters. In fact all the games are enjoyable even if you haven't played one before, but I do recommend playing all of them in order as the story line continues forward through the games.

I really wish I had a lot more time to spend with my PS3 but sadly( since my BF purchase day) I've spent around 10ish hours enjoying the system. One standard movie watched and the rest in GTA:LCS land.
