Dammit, I didn't want to think it, bu I guess I was always expcting this. But now that pushes Episode 3 that much too. (Rumor is a reveal/announcement after Portal 2 is done.)

So, with Sly 4 being hinted at, I think I'm that much more tempted to get a PS3, and now plan to save up so I can get one by this summer. I hope to see more about Sly 4 by the time I actually get one. Just thought I'd mention it. Anyone else hear about it/interested? (refering to Sly 4 btw)

Just a little bit on the excited side

After experiencing the brilliant masterpiece that was Red Dead Redemption, I figured it was finally time to see what GTA IV was all about. I picked it up today. Haven't really gotten into the story yet, but it's clear that Rockstar's sense of humor and knack for storytelling is still very much in tact, and the voice acting is mostly great. I'm already loving the main character. But, it hasn't grabbed me quite as much as Red Dead did, partially because a big city is just inherently less interesting than the Wild West.

Also, graphically, it's pretty shocking how far we've come. I know it's only been two years but, wow! Did we not know how to make people's fingers move way back then? Still a step up from the weird, "mitten-hands" from the PS2 GTA games, though.

I really need to get into Red Dead, especially with the DLC quality now available.

But Dragon Age first. Reckon I have another 20 hours to go just to complete one of six possible character story arcs.

Does the PS mag come with demo disc?

Nope, them days are long gone my friend. Anybody remember the Playstation Underground Members Discs?

@KidA... yeah GTA4 is pretty in some places but mostly low-res everywhere. Its a fun but as always very sandboxy styled game. I'm about halfway through it and will someday pick it back up again.

Yep, that was pretty much my main source of gaming for a while when I finally got my PS.

Demo Discs are so useless when you can Download demoes. Unless you don't have online, of course.

T.T GTAIV was the game I was playing when my ps3 died! (Over-dramatic sobbing.)
But it is kinda funny that the last thing I did with the system was have a hooker give me a servie and then kick her out of the car and start fighting her.

I never really got into GTA IV, it just feelt to depressing and serious, nothing like the classic Vice City.

That was my problem with most of the GTA games. I know they're trying to be authentic, but its just not my thing. Luckily the GTA4 Add-ons are cooler.

Well...I never played Vice City or the First one. But GTA3, San Andreas, GTA4, and even GTA2 had stories and characters that were just too serious for my tastes.

oh, I found those games to be great parodies of gangster stuff (well maybe not san andreas) but each to their own i guess
