Oh how I love Koei. Officially My favorite publishers.
Also, White Knight Chronicles is cool.
4 demos this week. So far I've enjoyed all of them. Majin was an honest surprise for me, I find it very charming. Mabye I can convince Bandai Namco to send me a review copy.
@WaltzElf: I have White Knight Chronicles, but haven't played it yet. Whenever I finally do, I'm sure my brother and I would love to have you along for online play (I THINK it allows more than two people in a game, right?).
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P

I think so - haven't given it a go yet myself.
Just tried to solo the first "online" quest, and got slaughtered. This is a game that definately needs teamwork.
So someone asked about the Metal Gear playtimes. I just finished the PSone game with a competion time of 10:18:21 and that is taking my time and enjoying the game. Funny thing is I only saved 13 times lol.

@Waltz: My brother, who has already finished the single-player on WKC, says it goes up to four players, but a lot of people seem to think three is best. Well, maybe we can try it sometime...
In extremely distressing news, my PS3 suddenly died on me tonight...it seems to be the infamous YLOD. Looks like I may be about to follow you to the land of the lost Demon's Souls file, Slappy...along with most of the other games I have. I have a few old backups on a Memory Stick, but I haven't kept up with them properly...kicking myself for that right now. My 100-hour and yet still not finished FFXIII file!
Whether or not I can revive this system long enough to retrieve the data, I'm now planning to go pick up a Move bundle PS3 after work tomorrow. Huzzah for unexpected expenses! /Extreme sarcasm.

Does anyone know what causes the YLOD and how to prevent it? I may eventually get a PS3, but the chance of a bricked console is really making me reconsider.
This sort of thing never happened with the last generation of consoles. :/

The newer models of PS3 are quite stable when it comes to YLOD, it's the older ones that have the problem.
I believe it's an overheating problem - but that's only a very vague recollection from a long time ago. I wouldn't worry too much about the PS3 failing if you buy a new one. At least, not any more than any other console.
FTR the only time I had a console fail, it was the Gamecube.
Yeah, it's most likely a heat problem resulting in part of the motherboard coming detached due to melted connections. On the plus side, I got a TON more use out of my PS3 before it went belly-up than I ever did with my 360.

@ stuff.... owww, my phat was having issues as well which is why i upgraded myself. It runs tons quicker so it makes up for it.
@hmac.... ylod is pretty rare and usually comes with years of frequent use among the older model ps3s. Slim ps3s have very rare failure rate. I went through 4 psones lol
@Stuffgamer That really sucks about your PS3! I was able to back up my game saves when my BDD gave out but I still lost some of the protected games saves like Killzone 2. The one that really upset me was Resident Evil 5. I played levels over and over so I could get enough points to unlock the best character to use online. It took me forever and I never even got to go online after I unlocked that character since my drive gave out around that time. All that grinding for nothing. Anyway, I feel your pain and hope you get your new Slim soon.
@Slapshot You've already gotten beta invites for Dead Space 2, Killzone 3, and now that rewards thing? I was excited for the one beta invite I got until I actually started it up. I thought it was for Red Faction Armageddon but it was for some little arcade type of game. It would be nice to get an invite to something worth while.
I am sad. I didn't get an invite to the awards beta, but I have 60-odd download games and demos :( considering I have only had my ps3 for a year or so, this is pretty impressive, I thought. :(
@SilentJ: Is "already had it when you posted that" soon enough for ya?
@Waltz: I have no idea how they choose people. I have more downloaded games than you, but not by all THAT much. But I have had my system twice as long, and played it a LOT. I also have twenty Plats now. No idea if they look at that, but it couldn't hurt.

@SilentJ... actually I didnt get into the rewards beta for some reason. Ive downloaded over 700 things on PSN and a PSN+ member, not to mention my trophy count lol. As for betas, Ive gotten into Dead Space 2, Assassins Creed Brotherhood, Killzone 3, Alus MMO on PC, Test Drive Unlimited PC and some other game today I didnt know what was so I didnt do it as it was also on PC lol. I want in the rewards beta, heck I want the Playstation Home stuff.
Speaking of that, does anyone know if you can see just what you have purchased on PSN. You are prob fixing to see this Stuff. Trying to dig through all the demos, and everything else to find your PSN games and AddOns is a pain in the butt.
@Slappy: Yeah, it's called your download history. It's right up there in the upper-right corner of the PSN Store screen near the cart symbol. Not hard to find.

That brings up everything you have downloaded including demos, etc. What I was looking for is a way to filter out what you have actually purchased and not a full download list, but Ive found that nowhere.
Oh... think I found out why I didnt get the beta invite, on my PS3 it showed I was prompted in for offers from third parties, etc but my online account showed I wasnt. That had to be checked and a PSN+ member to get the invite. Hopefully I will get one now, but I kinda doubt it.
