@Slapshot I don't think there is a way to save your level progression on Soldner X. You can unlock levels in Soldner X2 so you don't have to start all the way from the beginning.
@Roopa Don't know if I'm getting it on release day but I'll be getting Portal 2 on the PS3 for sure. The gameplay they showed on Gametrailers TV last week was awesome! It should be great on the PS3 since it'll be getting all the Steam updates. Think I'll throw on The Orange Box this weekend to play the first Portal.
@James Congrats on getting yourself a PS3 and some pretty cool games!
@silentJ if you just want regular portal you can just buy that for like $15 or so dollars...but then again the orange box is like 5 great games for not much more. @y2josh well done.....im only one trophie away from my first platinum for batman arkham asylum
@Stuff.... I dont want to pay $15 for PSN titles I was going to buy Shank today but yet again its another overpriced PSN game. Im sorry but I dont see the worth to add up. I got Chronicles of Riddick for $9 on a disc this weekend, I got Soldner X both games today for $10. $15 for one PSN game isnt worth it. Ive bought 3 at that price, Ive regreted buying Wakeboarding and Smash Cars both and Joe Danger was the only one worth it. From what I hear Deathspank isnt long enough for the price either!
I can't speak for Wakeboarding, but I do agree that Smash Cars wouldn't have been worth $15 (I got it on sale for $7.50). The mere fact that you think Joe Danger IS worth $15 shows that you really have to take things on a game-by-game basis. For example: castle is completely right; Castle Crashers is WELL worth $15, more so than most $15 downloadable games. I still don't think it's right to just categorically assume that just because a game is $15, it isn't worth it.
@WaltzElf: So long as your life doesn't consist of much (meaning no wife and/or kids to ignore), I see nothing wrong with kissing it goodbye for an awesome game. Just don't let your job suffer, not that I think you're stupid enough do so.

Unfortunately I have one of those Upon hearing the problems that they're having porting it to the PS3, I might go buy myself a low-cost PC for it and Napoleon, which my laptop won't run

Anyone play Linger In Shadows on PS3? I was trying to skip the 'cut-scene' at the start of the game and all the pause, play, rewind crap appeared and I was like "wtf is this crap?...i just want to play the game".
Yeah well THAT WAS THE GAME. It basically is a six minute cut-scene where you are able to pause, rewind and fast forward the scene playing. You have to pause it to uncover secrets. Sometimes prompts come up like "shake the PS3 controller" to.....umm...well....make the screen go insanely...weird. Or you have to use the Six-Axis in the PS3 controller to turn a floating Dog around and around like a screw. Yeah I was like "umm ok....". Anyway I did get a few nice trophies off it but I really don't have much desire to play it again. Maybe when I'm really bored. It is unique and fun once you find out what the gameplay is like so I do recommend it.

Linger in Shadows isn't a game dude. It's literally a piece of interactive art work. If you're ever been to an art gallery during an interactive art exhibition (I went to a few while I was in Japan), there's a tonne of that kind of stuff in there.
Mind you, it's awesome, and I highly recommend it for anyone who is interested in exploring the deeper side of games and interaction. It's the kind of "game" you can write a thesis on in university.
I wish there was alot more interactive art in the world.
QUEEN OF SASS
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
I wish there was alot more interactive art in the world.
You would be amazed. There is a lot. A lot a lot a lot. You just need to know where to look (For fellow Australians - check out University media course end-of-year exhibitions.) Museums, Art Galleries etc etc.
Mind you, I agree. I wish there was a lot more "Interactive Art" available on home consoles. They can be awesome fun and thought provoking.
Linger in Shadows was developed by geniuses, in as much as they sold a HECK of a lot more than they would otherwise have at launch by being the second game ever to have Trophy support. I'm not going to deny that this was a factor in my decision to purchase it at the time, but I was at least somewhat interested anyway. I definitely agree that it's a really cool experience, and more such things would be appreciated.
@Slappy: When people start talking too much about the "high" price of a $15 PSN game, I tend to start thinking about older gaming...my dad paid that much for brand new copies of a number of Atari 2600 games he's never even opened to this very day! Even if he HAD opened and played them, the amount of content he got for the price was absolutely pitiful compared to even the worst $15 PSN game today. Oh, and the people who complained about $60 HD games? Ridiculous...some games cost more than that on the SNES! My dad paid $70 for Aerobiz. Basically, I feel like gamers (myself admittedly included) are getting way too spoiled and expecting too much.

I think I may have figured out why I may not get the update.
I signed into my account through the US Playstation website and not the UK one (it signs me in but thinks it doesn't exist/ won't let me into my account).
It doesn't effect the PSN store for me but I think that signing in through the US website hasn't helped.
Does any1 no if u can't get trophies in modnation racers splitscreen cause I'm sure I wud hav atleast a couple but I still haven't gotten any in splitscreen is it bc my profile name was player 1 even tho I was signed in as castlehominid99 does any1 no how to not b player 1 in split screen
@Relevant.... I think that just might be your problem as DLC doesnt work on US accounts is downloaded from another region.
@Stuff... I agree a bit with you as I remember paying right at a $100 USD for Tenchu for PSone as a import and very well remember paying $80 for N64 games and Genesis games. BUT the difference here is that these games are not on a cart or disc and have no real value or resell value. Some of those games we shelled out for, are now worth way more a downloaded titles may in 20 years not even be playable if lets say your PS3 messes up and the PSN isnt available anymore so you loose your games.

Zuma... for a supposedly casual game, the high score board is f'ing hardcore.
LOL, yeah and the low scorign Top Gun on PSN, wich my dad bought and I kinda jacked off his account , is actually a dang good time if you like the movie. The online is a blast as well. Ended up hollering at my buddy thats the store manager at Gamestop and thankfully a Ace Combat will make its way to PS3 FINALLY in Feb. That will be bought.

European PlayStation Network is gonna be offline tomorrow for EU users. Not sure about the US PlayStation Network but def sure it's the EU one thats gonna be down. Probably because of the recent news of the PS Jailbreak.
Anyway. I had a great birthday. Thanks to those who wished me one. I wouldn't say it was exciting because all I got was money which is fine with me. But....the games I want do not come out till October 22nd,and November 3rd. GT5 and Fallout:New Vegas and whenever Black Op's comes out too. I have to wait that long. Pretty much sucks. Then XMAS will come along so more money and more games. I should be set this fall for some games I want. (Since I have no job I always miss out on many games like Red Dead.)
