Well I'll be 18 with no job so what's your point? It's not illegal,atleast over here.
Plus,what the heck is 80 euro gonna get me per week?...because that is most likely what I'll be getting.
Anyone under the age of 20 actually get less money so obviously its there for teens and young adults who unless they have rich families will still be living with parents.

Like I said. I have no job as of yet. I may have one by the next two months and am currently writing my CV. Till then,I'll sign on for the dole. (btw lol'd at the pictures. XD)

@castle.... no need for another Move, mine is already paid up and ships out on the 17th. I just want a Slim with at least 160gb and some games with a bundle wich they always have at Gamestop starting up this time of year.

@Waltz.... is that the Japanese Fighting game on PSN, if so I downloaded a demo from the HK store and yes, its indeed flippin awesome and Ive been waiting on a sale to buy it as its like a $30 download. MIght have my games mixed up though.

Nono, this is a tactics RPG from Konami. It's ugly as all hell, but for $20 it's great value.

I tried that one and couldn't get past the putrid visuals.

@Sean007s All i'm saying is that the dole is there so people can get money to buy needed resources.

Yeah, I agree it doesn't make it easy. If you can stomach it, it's all good then.

I found VH:FoJ to be a fun game. I bought it on 360. Having beaten the game in its entirety, I do recommend it for fans of the genre, especially if its on sale. The artwork is bad, that is the universal agreement, but you get over it really quickly..., well, until the cut-scenes, but then they're so few and far between, it shouldn't bother most people. In all seriousness though, who plays tactical RPGs for graphics?

It's called welfare, it exists (theoretically) to help support people who actually need it, and it's good to know I'm not the only person who pretty much threw up in their mouth when they read this.

On an unrelated note--God of War 3 on Chaos mode is horrible and completely changed my opinion on the game--and possibly the series. It's just too unrefined of a gameplay style to require nigh-perfection.

Oh--and I got Dark Void for super-cheap and am actually enjoying it. Kinda resident-evil-with-a-jetpack style--not gonna win any awards (or rather, it didn't and understandably so) but the combat is pretty legit.

@ waltz... oops got them backwards lol. I can't remember the name of the other game but the demo was great.

@ odd... I'm holding off on No More Heroes on Wii to get it for ps3. As for Dark Sector ill grab it for like 10 bucks someday like i did yesterday worth The Chronicles of Riddick.

... Umm there is a Deathspank sequel coming out ...... wait for it.... NEXT MONTH! Lol... I still havent played the first but I already like these developers.

Oh no a 17 year old is using the dole for video-games. Oh lord,I wonder what any other 17 year old would do with 80 euro per week. Maybe save up for a Lamborgini? What a joke.

Also I rhink the dole is actually able to be handed out to those who are 16-20. Yeah I'm sure they really need that money for something truly important. Don't make me laugh. Please.

@Sean.... I think the whole point is that right now here in America there is a real big controversy about wasteful government spending. Its major political debate that as for me, I agree wholeheartedly with odd, makes me want to puke. I know people with the same disease that I carry everday, and work with and maintain a life with and its hard to do but do it because it makes me feel good to make my own living, but they cant get the government help they need when they cant work because the disease has progressed to a higher level than my own, but yet no offense to you but younger people can get it and dont need a penny of it. So yes, its a problem to brag (not that I think you are, but it can easily be taken that way) about getting free government money to buy video games, because here in America its not that easy. Truthfully Sean, our money has depleted severely as well and 80 Euro here in the states is not a whole lot less than what I spend 10 hours in 130 degrees tempature a day to make. I said all that, to say this, Ive already asked to stop this talk in this thread as it can get out of hand and we can loose our thread here at NL over this kinda stuff. I tried to put my reason in perspective a bit from a different cultural perspective, but mainly I just dont want this thread locked over it. This kinda topic should be moved to a different thread. Funny how Slappy suggested not talking about the dole thing here, yet people keep voicing their opinions. Okay, fine...I agree with those voicing opposition to spending welfare money on video games. Regardless of the fact that the money could indeed be spent on worse things, it does not change the fact that it is still a gross misuse of the funding. Not that we're going to be able to change Sean's mind, I'm sure.

Yeah, we really shouldn't be talking politics on here, but a bit of solid advice here: Sean, use that dole money to go and hire a professional to make you a nice CV (I'm willing to bet you could use help there), buy a nice suit, and save to invest in additional training courses.

You'll apprecaite that advice when you do find a nice job that gives you plenty of your own money to spend on games. Some of us have to work years to get to a position where we have a disposable income for games, but you know what? It feels damned good when you do.

Yea i might sell No More heroes on Wii and buy the PS3 version, Sony had better be happy about that,i don't buy games twice. Deathspank 2?? I was thinking DLC or add ons to the first ,perhaps im a bit enthused about this. The first Deathspank wasn't nearly enough game for the asking price of 14.99 ,i found it extremely short but completely amazing.

I also stated earlier that i was going to buy DC universe online, i think i may have to take that back. At first i thought it was a 60$ MMO game to play for free, similar to let's say White Knight Chronicles (which i'll end up getting now) but after much research i found that the game will be 14.99 a month to play in addition to the full retail price, haha, to top that off you'll have to pay for any DLC you may want. The rumor was that PlayStation plus members didn't have to pay that but it got squashed. BUT plus members do get something out of it.
It's a crying shame that i won't dish out 14$ a month to play a game which is outrageous , i guess my standards are Buy a game, it yours play it, for free. I understand developers will be building the game adding to it and they need money, but can they atleast give it an affordable price?

@ odd... i agree. I'm not paying the monthly fee either. Another thing is its tough to keep up a marriage, work, house, 2 acres of land and be hooked on an online game. I'm pretty much staying away from buying new games with addictive online play. I can play mw2 for an hour and stop easily but i used to not be able to do that as its worn itself out on me somewhat. Black ops, medal of honor, etc I'm staying away from. I'm sure not paying extra monthly either.

I'm getting DC Universe online, but on the PC. I have White Knight Chronicles, @odd, so if you do get it maybe that will give me a reason to play it lol.
