I don't want to sound harsh here cause I believe Nintendo is very loyal to its employees but what these guys are saying.....while I don't believe it, it makes me feel that Nintendo hasn't been truthful to its consumers.......
Nintendo is probably very loyal to THEIR employees, the issue here is with a sub-contractor, its a very bad thing and Nintendo is not the only company with this problem...... they of course could find a sub-contractor able to do the same thing who doesn't exploit children, but it'll probably be more expensive (being the cheapest probably being the reason they picked this one)..... Its difficult because as much as consumers can show outrage, in practice a cheaper Wii U would sell better independent of any controversy and them saying hey Wii U is now $100 more but now no child is gonna be involved in manufacturing any of the components, is not really going to help them at all with sales
@ferthepoet So then why does Nintendo rely on manufactures instead of making products on their own?
why do you rely on someone else to manufacture your car? to grow your food? to make your clothes? to build your tv?
it would be nice if everyone could do everything for themselves and be fully self sufficient, but then no one would ever be really good at one thing. sure every person could write their own computer operating system, but we have a lot of experts who have done a very good job of making one for us, so why not utilize that and use our time and resources some where else.
i think there's been a bigger conspiracy going on against nintendo for the last 15 years. i wouldn't be surprised if ms or sony somehow had a hand at trying to make nintendo look bad again.
lame just some boring stuff, no world domination, no ancient evil to be awakened, no government planning sketchy stuff and like @WesCash said, no Illuminati.
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

I don't think there's a conspiracy against Nintendo, but it's a glaring fact that Nintendo is being used as a drama punching bag around the net because it's easy money and entretainment.
If you really want to point fingers, you should point them at Apple. They make the most money out of any company involved with Foxxcon.
Nintendo and Sony specifically, are losing money, even with the cheap labor. Apple makes like $200 on iPads, because they over charge to the point where every Chinese worker could actually get paid more, per iPad. Apple is probably charging as much as they would for how much it ACTUALLY costs to assemble said products. So ya, blame the government or at least look at companies that are making money off of the whole ordeal.
