Give me SSF4+5 capcom or else you WILL be sorry because SSFIV:3D sucked!
Not changing my statements until mario party 1 gets on the virtual console.
Diamond Trust of London is now officially over and funded as well, and it got about $10,000 extra, which is great for Jason Rohrer and his family. Eagerly awaiting "September 2012" to receive my regular edition copy and a randomized corporate memo from the titular (fictional) Diamond Trust. If you missed out, Jason has said that he'll eventually be selling copies through his website.
this has been the only Kickstarter project I've ever been interested in. sucks for everyone who missed out, it's gonna be frickin' epic :3
What the heck. Why didn't you call me?
Actually, I'm not crazy about how the game looks. The good doctor is awesome though.
idk, it looked interesting enough to me. and hey, McNinja <333
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3

[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!
If you're interested in Carmageddon Reincarnation, then you'll be glad to know that its Kickstarter Rewards package just got a whole lot sweeter. For $25, you'll get the game and early beta testing/forum rights, but you'll also get a free code to download the original Carmageddon from GOG.com, and its DLC. If you don't know, the developer lost their rights to the series when they tried to transition it onto home consoles, and they've just not got their baby back. This was a part of the project that they desired to do and made it happen. Great stuff and worth looking into!

If you like action games with vehicles à la Blaster Master (NES) I recommend you "Helena The 3rd". It's in Desura and it has a Kickstarters' site to fund a multiplayer mode. If you fund 1 dollar or more you'll get a Desura Key of the game! It seems pretty good: I encourage anyone to fund it (its goal is reachable: 1000$ more or less).
Currently playing: Persona 4 Golden (Vita), Persona (PSP), Disgaea 3 (Vita), Yumi's Odd Odyssey (3DS), Devil Survivor Overclocked (3DS).

The team formerly known as SuperFlashBros (now SFB games) is putting their project up for kickstarter funding, and it looks very interesting. Detective Grimoire a puzzle adventure game for the iOS/Android. I remember playing the flash precursor a few years ago, and it was a wonderful game - this iteration brings in full voice acting (the flash version's voice acting was literally a series of grunts and hmmms) and a new art style.
@TinyOddy That Brawl in the family book is doing well. It's met its target in its first day.
Whats the story with that Double Fine project? Last I heard, it was finished, it was 832% funded and RAISED MORE THAN 3 MILLION FREAKING DOLLARS
Fire is more fun with friends, kids!

If anybody's interested, there is a gaming convention for the LGBTQ and pro-LGBTQ community that is being funded on Kickstarter. It's called GaymerCon: Everybody Games. It's already received the minimum funding, but I just wanted to point this out for those who are interested.
CAUTION: there has been controversy surrounding the project. So because the issue of sexual diversity is highly sensitive to debate, I STRICTLY REQUEST THAT YOU DON'T RESPOND TO THIS POST OR POST YOUR OPINION ON THIS MATTER IN THE NINTENDO LIFE FORUMS. I'M VERY SERIOUS. I just wanted to point the project out for anyone interested, that's all.
In other news, if you're not convinced about the convention, but want to be convinced why this can be helpful. This Extra Credits forum thread may be helpful, and I made a long post (written by forestRanger) that hopefully makes people more empathetic of the matter. Moving on u_u
@FOREST_RANGER: That video is the corniest thing ever, lol. I don't see the point though. What does being gay have to do with getting together at some lame convention to play games? I don't feel discriminated against because I can't go around at normal gaming conventions and announce to everyone that I'm gay without being judged because it's not something I would do anyway. Your post seems to say that gay people aren't able to act natural and be friends with anyone except other gay people. If equality is the issue, then something like this doesn't help at all.
Then again, being gay myself I still never really understood the LGBT community. They can go around and do stuff together, whatever. I'll just hang out with people, regardless of their sexual orientation. Being gay or whatever shouldn't be what defines you. Or your gaming life
Oh I wasn't supposed to respond to this. Ah well, I'll delete my post if necessary.
@zezhyrule I will only say this and not post anything else regarding the convention. I have read some editorials and some forum posts that have gone horribly gone wrong. I am in genuine support of the convention, which was the reason why I made my post in the Extra Credits forum. If you did read my forum post in that thread, I just wanted to point out the benefits of having such a convention. And if I had to say Zezzy, if you're fine, I think you're pretty mature on the topic . However, some LGBTQ people are having a hard time coping with it. And now I shall say no more.

Oh yeah, I saw one of those.
Oh hang on, it was mine.
I got flamed into locking my first discussion topic ever because I dared to suggest that if a minority group of people want to get together to enjoy their gaming in a way they want to, it's their business.
Apparently gay people have to enjoy games the way that straight people tell them to.
And women should be in kitchens right now making their men sandwitches.
Then again, the controversy worked. I donated a big number to the convention, despite having no interest in participating, simply because I want it to be a massive success and apparently ruin the lives of people who are against it - they swear to me it will, so fingers crossed.
Apparently some people have dared to remake Cheetahmen ll so that it actually plays all the levels. Cheetahmen The Lost Levels is the name of the project. The Nerd and PatTheNES punk are for it if that helps anyone.
Funny how there isn't a single game I'm interested in backing, yet I've been recently tempted by several Non-gaming, usually comic or art-related projects.
Not exactly Kickstarter-related, but I backed a project on another, much smaller website (who shall go unnamed due to content). That project at the time of writing has raised over $33,000 (They were asking for $25,000) in 3 weeks - those are numbers I've seen people struggle to get on Kickstarter (unless you're big-name). Very surprising considering how niche the project and site are. And they still have 9 days to go, too. I certainly hope they manage to double what they were asking for.
Oh, and it's technically a video game, so it's also the first game I've backed, too.
