I'm now using a sub machine gun that I got from signing up and it's free in game.
I'm not far in the story, spent most of my time so far exploring, but I love how with the main missions they've nailed the thing that bugged me the most in previous games. In GTA IV, Niko was fresh off the boat and needed money, so you could understand why he was doing jobs for characters he clearly didn't like. However, as the game went on, you'd end up taking jobs there seemed little justification for, working for idiots. This time, the main missions have been perfect for setting up who each character is, what's going on in there life, and why they need to be doing the stuff they're doing.
The Freaks and Strangers side mission stuff falls into the same traps the old games did, but I can deal with them as little side missions.
Day 1 sales are over $800,000 million, comfortably the biggest video game launch of all time. Makes all those comments that we're heading for a video game crash seem pretty dumb! Very well deserved everyone at Rockstar North. I'm still amazed at the attention to detail this giant game world has.

I bet Rockstar is shaking their head in disappointment over the lost revenue from not releasing the game for the Wii-U. They could have made literally several thousand dollars more had they chose to do so!

You know a few thousand isn't that much to Rockstar right?

I believe that was a simple jest on his part.

Grand Theft Auto V has already past the $1 billion mark during its first three days on sale, making it the fastest-selling game, to put things into perspective. Black Ops II past the $1 billion mark by its 15th day on sale, the king of sandbox games.
And Avengers (the fastest movie to a billion) took 19 days.
Has anyone been exploiting the stock market in the game? You can make huge amounts from investing in companies just before assassinating the CEO of their rival so the the stock price rockets. There's a limited number of the CEO assassinations though, so I guess it's better to do a bit of the story, maybe a heist or two so you have a decent amount to begin with. You can still do stuff like invest in car manufacturers and then go and destroy some rival company cars, but those gains are nothing compared to what happens when a rival company loses their CEO.

You also need to take into account that The Avengers wasn't released on the same day across the world (which GTA 5 basically was) and that a single movie ticket doesn't cost $60+.....

It bugs me how the characters change clothes when you're not controlling them. I was going for the Heat-style smart dressed bank robbers, but they never keep those clothes on. Switched to Trevor a couple of times and found him in a dress!
