They both suck, IMO, and there's no point to Magazines when you got the internet, so I say why bother comparing two useless turds?
I agree, and also. They both never sent me my Kid Icarus AR cards, so eff both of them.
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
Edit: On a unrelated and random note, since we are talking about magazines, sites, reviewers, and such. I hate IGN. A lot. That is all.
What's so bad about IGN? I go there everyday, and I never see any anti-Nintendo bias. They do have a Nintendo team, after all. Sure, they've been really behind on reviews and news as of late, but when they do come in, they're fair (Ketzal's Corridors, Kid Icarus: Uprising, and Colors! 3D just to name a few recent reviews of theirs all got very positive reviews). Sure, they every once in awhile have a stupid opinion piece like "Why digital only is the future" or "Nintendo should develope for iOS", but again, those are opinion pieces by one editor, not the entire site (the Nintendo on iOS one was written by their ONE iOS reviewer, and of course he's going to try to legitimize it), but their Nintendo staff is very good and close to the Nintendo fanbase (recently they've even been posting blogs from Nintendo fans on the site, which is really cool).
If you want to see a site that's anti-Nintendo, take a peek over at G4.
I don't think he ever mentioned anything about anti nintendo bias -_-
True, but that's the complaint I usually hear against IGN. I shouldn't have assumed though, you're right. If it isn't that however, I really do wonder what his concern is, because I don't think I've heard any other type of complaint against them.

For anything Nintendo related, Nintendo Power (kind of obvious). For everything else, Game Informer. For me mostly just being a Nintendo fan, Game Informer isn't much use to me. They seem to favor Playstion and Xbox anyway. Nintendo Power isn't quite as cool as it was in the 90's but I still like it.

The idea that there is "no point" in magazines is silly. Maybe not FOR YOU, because you can just go on the internet and see what's what, but publications like Game Informer score exclusive interviews and other content, which sites like Destructoid and Kotaku in turn use to generate daily headlines.
Yeah.. And this week, Nintendo Power broke news about many things websites like this one published. Yet, IGN, Gamespot, Kotaku and them others have YET to say anything on it.
Also, Nintendo Power is revealing something next month- something that no other publication or website will be getting news on until after it's revealed....
I think MickeyMac is saying that even if such things are revealed first in these magazines, he'll find out soon after by a quick search anyways.
I think nintendo power needs a new website. After the fall of NSIDER NP had a great chance to become the premier forum and news site for nintendo games but they dropped the ball and NWR and nintendolife picked up the slack.

Nintendo Power most definitely. GI tries to be too funny and "hardcore", and makes a lot of jokes at the expense of their fans. NP has humorous responses to their fan mail without calling out idiots or showing illiterate letters to score some laughs. Also, when it comes to exclusive news, NP gets more than GI.
I also have a bit of disdain for GI editors, as they seem to have this sepiority complex going on. Although I really liked how they handled the Xenoblade reveiw, the Kid Icarus one almost made me gag. "I almost begged off this reveiw at first" THEN WHY DIDINT YOU? If they game was uncomfortable for YOU to play, have someone else who doesn't face the problem handle the reveiw? Oh yeah. Because, as it emphases in your reveiw, it's not me with the problem, the game's controls are just bad.
facepalm Nintendo Power gives fair reviews, and is not afraid to smack down on what they don't enjoy. But they aren't like this. If they can't play the game, the don't reveiw it. But apparently GI lacks common sense. /rage
@TysonQ7 Haha i'm with you on a lot of things there. I actually enjoy reading the Feedback section of GameInformer more than Nintendo's though. There's alot of nice things in GI that I wish NP had though like the Opinion section, and The Good, Bad, and Ugly (nintendo style).
Yeah I agree there, if someone isn't comfortable playing a game, then why review it? I'm sure someone would actually enjoy the controls. He couldn't have been in the majority....(unless he states it in the review) but just get a good second opinion on it AT LEAST.
@Oddy Same here though I do appreciate the reviews, I spend more time in other sections. Plus the smell.
I will say I'm glad I stopped reading NP when even they fell into "high score but complain about the game for half the review" nonsense. For Mario Galaxy. Horrible.
I prefer NP for all thing Nintendo, and awesome/shocking reveals of new games (which has happened a LOT lately). I just got GI for free at Gamestop so if anything exciting is happening in the world outside Nintendo I can check it out in there. Overall NP is better

I've never read Game Informer but if I did, I think I'd have to say NP mostly for nostalgic reasons. Although the reviews are certainly very, very biased.
It seems like Nintendo Power is trying to prove how unbiased it is and that ironically makes it biased. They're very tough on Nintendo-made games (unless it's a Pokemon spin-off or casual title/minigame collection, and they even gave the new PokePark a 5.5 recently), and haven't given out any 10s since Brawl came out four years ago (that's right, they didn't seize the opportunity to give Galaxy 2 and Skyward Sword perfect scores). That could just be how they really feel, of course, but I still find it funny how they're harsher on Nintendo games than reviewers that don't write for Nintendo's official magazine in America.
I think it's good that Nintendo Power doesn't just throw out 10s like alot of reviewers have been lately....and the few 10s given out in the past year didn't really feel all that special to me.
The 10s that Nintendo Power gave out, have ALL been absolutely fantastic experiences that I agree with.

well Nintendo Power is only reviewing games on nintendo systems so 10s will be very few are far between. (though 10s in review is a debate for another time)
