@otaku... i actually agree with GI on all those. NP and NL as its not surprising has a tendency to over rate games. But so does PSM for PlayStation games. Everybody has different taste as well. Gamesradar is the best of them all in my opinion.

Mr. Anonymous is just P.O. that Gaminformer didnt give NSMBWii and Galaxy 2 a 10 but instead they got a 9.25. GI also just gave Nintendo best in show of E3 and 3DS a 6 page hype section wich was more than double either MOVE or Kinect. Mr. Anonymous is what I like to call a FANBOY!
This is funny because I was just thinking if I should subscribe to it. I love getting things in the mail. You get some cool Nintendo Posters once in a while too.
The only thing I was ever subscribed to was the Fox Kids Club. I don't even know who signed me up! It was a neat surprise though and loved waiting every month!
#1. Over-reacting fanboys will always be part of life. Now they're just invading magazines.
#2. Opinions will always be opinions, which means they'll always be worthless wastes of time in the grand scheme of things.
#3. Isn't comparing Nintendo Power to Game Informer kinda like comparing a strawberry to a fruit pie? I mean, yeah, they both have strawberries, but the fruit pie also has many other things to it.

Fruit pie might have pears, and melons which I don't like and I would have to pick them out.
Thats dang funny man
I do find the whole point of the thread pointless As this above statement is very correct, if your looking for Nintendo only info, then why the heck not get Nintendo Power the Nintendo Magazine?
As for GI, well its imo the best magazine that covers all systems hands down. Gamepro, EGM (now gone), etc just cant compare to GI.
Definitely Nintendo Power. I get Game Informer for free just because I have an Edge card, but when I get it I usually just skim through everything and then throw it away. The writing style and editing just isn't as good as Nintendo Power, and they don't ever give much time to the games I like. They do huge articles on games like "Halo Revolution: We're Not Done Milking Money From Our Fanboys Yet" and don't pay attention to gems like Opoona. Overall, they tend to overlook Nintendo, unless it's a major first-party franchise or a "mature" game.
He sounded like a crybaby angry his favorite game didn't get a 10 but I can't say he's far from the truth, he just presented his opinion in an embarrassingly fanboyish manner that resulted in him looking like a whiner. Then again knowing GI that's probably why they chose to publish that letter instead of no doubt similar ones that present the same accusation in a more respectable manner.
I unfortunately still see the magazine way more than any self respecting human should since I have a friend who works at GameStop and always has extra copies but I personally let my subscription to that rag expire almost a decade ago and largely because even then they made it very clear that they didn't take Nintendo seriously and had adopted the 'cool' mentality that Nintendo was for kiddies.
I also quit my NP subscription around the same time. Yeah, they were blatantly biased too but at least they didn't try to pretend otherwise. They where a Nintendo mag and it was expected for them to be biased. In NP's case though I just had no more use for a gaming magazine when everything I wanted to know/see could be found faster on the internet and for free.
Depends on what you're looking for. Game Informer has some really great editorial pieces, but I've always found their Nintendo coverage to be lacking, and their reviews to be so-so. Nintendo Power, on the other hand, has next-to zero editorials, but their Nintendo coverage is (obviously) expansive and I've found their reviews to be quite objective and reasonable in recent years.
