@WaltzElf I've given up on them for the time being. They're pretty much all carbon copy formulaic trash these days.
Ideally I would like a mature MMO where people are expected to roleplay, rather than spam "1KKKKK SHINY FLAMING SWORD LOL KTHX" - because there's one thing I hate is being immersed within a beautiful MMO world with childish crap like that going on around me.
Until then I'll stick to Pocket Legends. Which is free and easy to waste 5 mins on on iPad
@TokyoRed Ragnarok Online is one of the best MMOGs I've played. I still go back to it every now and then.

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed Ragnarok Online! If you enjoyed that then you're bound to love Dofus, Dofus Arena and Wakfu, all of which are free and don't contain immature spammers.
Ah, neither had I back in 2004 deegan714. I came across them because I'm a fan of The Chronicles of Narnia, The Hobbit, the LOTR trilogy and of course the Legend of Zelda. I had not long since played the demo of Sierra/ Vivendu's masterpiece of a game "The Hobbit" and I wanted something else that was similar and I was blessed to find Dofus.
Dofus Arena takes place between the two chapters Dofus and Wakfu. In Dofus a youth and a Dragon clash and the power of the dragon eggs known as "Dofus" are discovered and are scattered all throughout the regions of Amakna and the World of Twelve and in Dofus Arena you venture forth to battle your way to recover the Dofus and restore balance to the World of Twelve.
In Wakfu a whole new chapter begins 1000 years after Dofus, as an alchemist stumbles across "The Way of Wakfu" and learns that there is a blessing and a curse contained within. Wakfu is the light side and Stasis is the dark, destructive side. Wakfu creates and spreads life, creating vegetables and giving back to the environment while Stasis denies the creative power of divine things and throws the world into the chaos of death and destruction. The alchemist in his attempt to master Wakfu creates an orger known as Orgrest who grows up and falls in love with a beautiful woman and sets out to recover the six long lost Dofus only to discover she loves him not and only seeks the power of the remarkable eggs. Orgrest heart is broken and filled with rage he plunges the world into the very depths of chaos, sorrow and perhaps global warming even, followed by a battle with the powers that be. The greats are unable to defeat the ogre because the powers of the Dofus are his and thus it is only a battle of strength against strength. After this struggle our heroic and miserable grief stricken ogre climbs to the highest mountain and there he resorts to cry for I think is over 1000 thousand years. So great is his grief that ogres tears cause the worlds water level to rise enough to create a massive flood throughout the World of Twelve and thus the era of Wakfu is born.
I know about Dofus, and it's alright. I don't have the time for MMOs anymore. When I said I go back to Ragnarok, I meant I go pwn some stuff in a party of friends with my high level characters. I couldn't be bothered to start new characters in another game again, since I realised what a shameless time sink MMORPGs are.
I'd only play one if it was really high quality, and I was hoping FFXIV would be that. Not so.

Okay, Mackerel, I understand. I do, however, hope that you'll take a look at Dragon Nest and Wakfu when the beta for those begin. Did any of you guys look at the Wakfu television series in the links I provided? If so what did you guys think of the the quality of the show?

It's not really a wall of text so long as he's using proper paragraphing to break things up.
Sure.
@TokyoRed I'll definitely check them out when I can. I'm sure some day I'll have a craving for some online RPG gaming, so I'll keep them in mind. If they're like Ragnarok then they'd be right up my alley.
Are those animated segments shown in the game or on the website, or is it actually aired on TV? Ankama Studios are a French developer so I'm not surprised at the high quality of the animation.
It would be cool to see parts of the cartoon as cutscenes in the game.
Sean Aaron ~ "The secret is out: I'm really an American cat-girl." Q: How many physicists does it take to change a light bulb? A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.

Yes, that would be nice! BTW I think that Cartoon Network is in talks to air the show here in the United States. There is also a Ragnarok anime in the works as well and I hope it will also be aired in the USA.
