yeah this is not that new. Crackdown 1 and 2 did the same thing where you had to buy god mode. Hell I can buy levels and item packs in takes vesperia. If you want it buy it, but they aren't forcing you.
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.
Ok??? Why the complaints if you dont like it dont buy it plain and simple. Its not like they are holding a gun to your head forcing you to buy the codes.
Its really no different than Galoob selling the Game Genie years ago or some of those other companies that sell video game enchancer products like GameShark or whatever it is there is now.
Besides they are cheat codes anyway dont people try to beat the games honestly nowadays?
Well, I look at it like this... if they want to cheat and use codes to get ahead in a game that they obviously suck at, then I agree with Capcom for charging those noobs.
You know, it's so frustrating when no matter what greedy tactic a company uses, you still end up buying it because of how worthwhile new content is for some of these games.
Luckily, this is neither worthwhile content nor likely to be on a worthwhile game. Thank you Capcom, you continue save me more money to spend on games from other gaming companies. Your generosity knows no bounds.
It's not so much about whether using cheat codes is evidence that you suck at a game or not - I'd argue that cheat codes often offer extra replayability and general fun; and on the whole try not to judge people on what they do with their own game - but more whether it's worth paying for.
Which it clearly isn't; the coolest cheat code in the world is unlikely to be worth sticking cash down for. And so this is a market I support whole-heartedly, for the same reason I will never have anything bad to say about Valve selling hats and other useless trinkets in TF2 and Portal 2. Anyone with a brain will know not to burn money on it, so they won't. The morons though will; which generates extra income for the developers with no extra cost to the rest of us.
So let Capcom sell cheat codes. And let morons buy them. Their next game may well have a slightly boosted budget, which is better for the rest of us.

Dead rising 2 is pretty good. The only problem was you can only play the whole story if you have an xbox.

1. I never enjoyed the first game for some reason. 2. My brother bought the game already. Last year. 3. Anything cool in the "new" version I already saw watching Video Games Awesome anyway.

I completely disagree with you. Microtransactions like these are ruining the value of games. I remember when that stuff was unlockable after achieving specific things in the game. Now you have to pay extra for it? Lame.
This is what Achievements and Trophies should be used for. Not some e-penis meter and bragging rights, but to actually unlock content.
You killed 200 enemies with headshots using a pistol? Congrats, here's your Trophy, and you unlocked a more powerful gun.
You jumped off a ramp and did a 1080 degree spin with your car while crashing into an oil tanker, causing a huge chain reaction that wiped out all the cars in the intersection? Congrats, here's your Trophy, and you unlocked an unlimited boost meter.
You won 10 straight matches in a row without getting hit? Congrats, here's your Trophy, and you unlocked a new move set.
