Boy, Capcom is just taking DLC money making to new heights (or lows, as it were). Guess I should be glad there wasn't DLC in the SNES era, or I would've had to pay for character vs. character on Street Fighter II. Now I'm going to have nightmares about having to pay to use the Konami Code! You mean we live in an age where you have to pay even to cheat? Someone remind me of why the age of online gaming is good again?

1. Smaller indie titles can receive a lot more exposure than they could've before digital downloads and the Internet.
2. Larger numbers of video games are available to consumers in a more convenient way than what's limited to their store shelves/online stores like Walmart or Target.
3. Playing against online strangers can infinitely increase a game's replayability beyond local multiplayer and single-player campaigns, provided you can deal with those online people who may be spewing feces from their mouths while playing with you.
4. You can re-connect with old friends or those you can't really visit in real life by playing with them online.

I think those are some good reasons, no?

Exactly.
