I'm sure some of you still like to play Arcade games at your local Game Arcade. In this thread, you can post your Arcade machines or post your Best scores from Arcade games or discuss about Arcade games you have ever played.
Some Arcade games mostly from SEGA or NAMCO or KONAMI or etc.
So, i will start with the Arcade machines at my local Arcade.

I really like the idea of this thread! I donโ€™t live near an Arcade now but I did spend sometime a recent weekend trying to remember all the games at the arcade in the town I grew up in. I always felt that 720 was underrated and I was the only kid playing Paper boy at my arcade. I really wish there was an arcade here.

@UmbrageHill
There is an Arcade Round1 at your country USA that still have Arcade machines such as Dance Dance Revolution A20.

Maybe the place is faraway from your current place, but at least the machines are still over there.

Living in New Jersey, I always enjoyed the arcades along the boardwalk. It's been a couple of years since I went to the boardwalk, I've played Virtua Fighter 2, Crazy Taxi, 18 Wheeler, and Star Wars Racer Arcade. I even remember finding a retro arcade about 10 years ago on the boardwalk. It was cool playing an actual Pole Position machine there, after having played it on Namco Museum on Dreamcast.

We also had an arcade that sadly closed recently, I remember playing Sega Super GT (or SCUD Race in Europe and Japan) quite a bit at this one.

Nintendo related, I once found a Vs. Super Mario Bros. machine when I went to Atlantic City. This was a very long time ago, it's probably not there anymore.

@Sunsy
Have you still find any Arcade center at your hometown ?
Here in Surabaya, my hometown, there are a lot of Malls with at least 1 or 2 Arcade center inside.
There are a lot of imported machines mostly from SEGA, Bandai Namco, IGS, Konami, etc. From old machines (SEGA racing games from year 1995 was the oldest machine i found at my local Arcade) until the newest machines (DDR A20, GITADORA, Midnight Tune 6, MaiMai DX, etc).
Feel free to post the picture of the machines or the place if you have visited.

@Anti-Matter Surprisingly, yes. The local Walmart has a racing game (I believe based on Batman or The Fast and Furious), and a nearby mall, the movie theater section has a racing game. I can't remember the name, it had a photo feature that would put your face in the game. All I remember is it's a racing game. That mall also had a Pac-Man/Galaga combo machine, and a claw machine.

Sadly I don't have pictures. Sounds like a cool arcade you have over there, classic Sega racing games are always a fun time.

Well...
Here in Surabaya, all the old machines monitor from 90's or early 2000's machines has been replaced with Flat monitor since the fat monitor is no longer available to find the replacement.
Surprisingly, the quality of the image looked better with Flat TV. Well... Not all machines compatible. Some of them looked quite fuzzy and distorted a bit but still readable.

Sadly, here in Indonesia, too many claw machines inside some Arcade center. From getting dolls (small until Giant size), sweet treats until tickets to win. Even there is a machine looked like Casino machine (put 1 coin for getting more coins) ๐Ÿ˜“

Oh, here in Indonesia, every cinema inside the Malls have at least 1 small Arcade center inside with the newest machine so far = Mario Kart GP DX

So, while waiting the movie we can play some Arcade games over there if you visit Indonesia or my hometown. ๐Ÿ˜

@Anti-Matter I noticed that last time I went to the boardwalk, about five years ago. A Star Wars Arcade machine from the mid-90's had a flat screen, and was even stretched out.

Claw machines tend to be a bit more common on the boardwalk rather than malls. Now that I think about it, I came across an oddity last time I was on the boardwalk, Flappy Bird the arcade game. They actually made it into an arcade machine.

Very cool, have fun playing that. I haven't seen many cart racers here, I did once see a Nicktoons Racing at a movie theater a couple of towns away. An arcade version of an older game that was on PS1, PC, and had a GBA version, not the recent one on Switch.

I have a pretty solid arcade that's like 5 minutes away. It has a diverse range of games, plus it has a good amount of Nintendo representation! There's stuff like Donkey Kong, a Mario pinball machine, Mario Kart Arcade GP, and even a Playchoice 10.

@MarioLover92 Oh my gosh, a pizzeria in my old town had the Playchoice 10. I remember checking out Super Mario 3 on it. I don't know if the place is still there, but they did have one.

You and @Anti-Matter are lucky to have Mario Kart arcade games where you are. It's been years since I've been to the boardwalk. If I ever go again, I need to keep an eye out to see if one exists in my area.

I forgot to tell you if you visit my hometown, you can find Mario Kart GP, Mario Kart GP 2 and Mario Kart GP DX. ๐Ÿ˜

But... they were separated on different Arcade center. ๐Ÿ˜…

Oh I forgot the bowling alley in the next town over has the Mario Kart arcade game and the new space invaders which is an absolute fave itโ€™s crazy fun and gets so intense! My wife really likes this crazy Jurassic park game where your on rails shooting dinoโ€™s itโ€™s very intense.

Also on valentines we went to an arcade / diner place and they had this new table top Pong where there are real paddles and the ball moves with magnets I think? It was very neat but also felt like glorified air hockey... it was cool as a novelty! We also played Rampage which was one of my favorites back in the day (the second one which was the best)

@Anti-Matter I don't think I'll ever travel to another country, I'll keep it in mind if I do. That's understandable, it's like that here. Different machines are found in different places. Even on the boardwalk. There's several arcades. Some have the same games, while some have different ones.

@Anti-Matter If I were you, I'd stay the hell away from that drum-based game for the time being, what with the whole Corona virus outbreak and all. You just never know who touched those pads before you...

@Sunsy If you'd like to play the Mario Kart GP games, but don't have an arcade near you, or no arcade where they actually have those games, then you can actually install the first two games in that series on a soft-modded Wii or Wii U. And not just the Mario Kart GP games, but also F-Zero AX, the arcade version of F-Zero GX and Virtua Striker 2002. All four of them great games to have and play on your own TV...

@Sunsy Yeah you could take a look. My arcade only has the first MKAGP. It's no Mario Kart 8 of course, and it takes some time to get used to the controls, but it's pretty all right.

1. Don't EVER tell me what I can or cannot do.
2. It was actually meant as friendly advice, but if you want to get sick, then by all means...

All I was saying is that for the time being, until further notice that international quarantines and such have been lifted, you should be careful with where you go or what you do or touch, and an object that is handled by probably dozens of people a day, could potentially be a source of infection.

@Anti-Matter It was in relation to the arcade drum machine, so posting that in the Corona virus thread would have made no sense. Threads aren't meant to be that strict, or have rules decided by site members. The rules are made up by the site managers, and as long as we mind those, then it's okay.

As long as people stick to the main topic in general, it's okay if they also mention other things on the side, like most of us on here have already done.
