Despite 3DS winning the competition, Vita is still considered a great system and while I have nothing against that, I'm quite curious as to how that system can also be worth purchasing. So pick up the one which you feel is better in terms of power, controls and software. 3DS or Vita?

3DS is the one for me obviously because the quality of games just can't be resisted. Vita on the other hand.....well to be fair, I don't plan to own one mainly because the games just don't convince me to get the system for that so I don't know about vita games much. In terms of power, well...I'm someone who doesn't really care much about that as long as the game runs fine, that's all that matters to me so I'm used to the 3DS for that. Since I don't own the vita, I can't say much of the controls although the minor thing would be that the 3ds has one analog and the vita has two. That said, with the new 3ds coming in the way.....its not saying much.

Like I said earlier, software is where the 3ds nails it down and beats the hell out of vita no matter what you say. Even if the vita has quality games that are just as great as Nintendo's, 3DS first party games are exclusive whereas for vita, majority of the time it doesn't remain as an exclusive.

Also, I'm not sure why you're comparing two systems when you've only owned one of them. That doesn't make for an accurate comparison.

I would have to go with apples.

I mean, come on, obviously apples are infinitely superior to oranges due to the fact it has such a wide variety of flexible recipes. Apple pie, caramel apples, apple sauce, dried apples, baked apples, you get the idea. Not to mention all of the different varieties and the demand.

Oranges have juice. Only true vegetarians eat apples.

The 3DS has more good exclusive games overall. However the Vita has three godly exclusives that are must play for anyone (Persona 4 Golden, Dagganrompa 1 and 2) and a couple of other great but not essential exclusives (Gravity Rush, Neptunia Rebirth 1)....The Vita also offers great value to those who already have a PS3/4 and are already paying for PS+ as getting a Vita mean they'll get 2 additional games per month at no extra cost. Those who own a Vita can also feel safe they'll be able to play any future games released for the system, while 3DS users would not be able to play some game unless they upgrade to the newer model.

Getting a console should only matter if you can think of enough titles you want. No matter which one, games are what it's all about. I'm still laughing at a friend who got the VITA because of HD graphics (which it doesn't actually offer resolution-wise, just like the GamePad), and the backside touchpad (which is really uncomfortable due to having to remove a hand from the VITA to use it for anything beyond shoulder button substituting, and hand-to-eye coordination not being applicable).

TL;DR: ALWAYS get a system for games you want, not for features. Smart developers will find a way to make fun games, regardless of technology.

Vita having a "solid" library is quite subjective since a majority of it is niche Japanese games. If you don't like those, you probably don't want to get it...

It's niche, but is that bad? I mean, a lot of the best 3DS games are JRPGs, and the rest are mostly platformers. If you don't like either of those, you won't have much on the 3DS either...

Not if you like those games. Otherwise it's a pointless purchase unless you really want that connectivity with the PS4 and PSN

There is also loads of really good PSP games problem is they are split across all three regions PSN stores.

It is not like playing DS games on the 3DS where it is blurry. PSP games look nicer on a Vita.

Also when it comes to good indie games the Vita has more of them than anything other than Steam.

There are a few worth while games on the Vita but Sony is the Vita's greatest rival, not the 3DS. With the PlayStation TV being able to play the Vita games Sony has made the Vita even more unnecessary to purchase to play Vita games.

I would say the opposite, really. With the Vita already out, there isn't much of a market for the Playstation TV. Less people than you suggest are excited about playing handheld games on their TV.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

LzWinky

A lot of people weren't excited to play TV games on their handheld either
