For example, I can't stand Hammer Bros., they are the bane of my existence; if I'm playing a really difficult level based around Hammer Bros. I will not finish the level, because not only will it take me forever (probably), but mostly because it's just not fun for me to die to Hammer Bros. 10 or even 5 times in a row.

I knew I couldn't be the only one. I hate those Hammer Bros. too, though I will finish a level with them(unless the level is bad in general too). If it's just one of them, it's easy, but having 3 or 4 of'em near each other is just torture.

@sjmartin: Thanks! The quality on Luigi's Puzzling Mansion was high. I was really impressed. It shows you put a lot of effort into the course.

If I could like your comment on here... or give it a hug, I would. Luigi's Puzzling Mansion became a labor of love for me. From designing the walls and ceilings (breaking up the design elements provided to give texture and variety) to using enemies to fill empty space (even if the player would have zero chance of physically encountering the enemy). My desire was to create a wholly contained experience that was as nice to look at as it was fun to play.

It's always nice to get a star from someone who enjoys your course, but when they take the time to comment on the design or acknowledge the effort put into it... to me, that's worth 20 stars. So, again, thank you. You made my day!

I played your level as well and I agree that it is well designed, but I didn't get the title. The level isn't really puzzling and there is just one puzzle, but that almost solves itself by entering all rooms in sequence.

The water level was well designed game Machanic wise. Just think it could have been a bit longer and involve more elements. It's a great start.

The mushroom lvl was kinda cool not knowing what I would get next. Was a good showcase for someone like me who hasn't seen a lot of costumes. Good job.

Thank you! I think I will probably make a v.2 of the underwater course. The reason that one is so basic is because I had barely unlocked any course elements when I made it. I think once everything is unlocked for me (tomorrow) I will make a much more involved version of the same thing (but keep the old one up - it's got such a low completion rate it must be showing up in Expert and that must be a relief for people playing through).

The mushroom level was just meant to be silly, so I'm glad you liked it. I think a lot of people haven't seen amiibo costumes, because it's bringing in stars at an OK rate.

I have faved you as a creator and I will definitely go look at your levels later when I have some free time! My car broke down (AGAIN) so today has been a little hectic.

@Dpishere: I played several of your courses, and I enjoyed them so much! "Luigi's Spooktacular Rescue" was a lot of fun, and very well designed with great variety. Mario's Koopa Kicks was a beautiful level. Some of the background objects you used, I didn't even know were available. (I need to shake more things when designing) Diddy Kong's Rescue was a challenge! (I'm not great at vine jumping) Took me several tries, but I finally beat it, and it was very rewarding. Well done!

My newest level is my hardest so far and I think I still managed to make it very fun. I always try to be very fair and since the last couple of levels in this parkour style got nice responses I thought I'll try the same with the castle level.
Please let me know what you think

Easily the most complex level I've made. Features a bunch of branching points and secrets, as well as 2 shortcuts which may require some skill/out-of-the-box-thinking.

Just finished making my best level yet.I've been at this for 2 days, fine tuning it to the max and I really couldn't be happier with how it's turned out.it's quite slow to get going but that's deliberate. It's not overly difficult but should still give you a fair challenge.Hope you all give it a try, cheers!

I am currently designing a simple evil level that will take people to their mental limits and make them question everything they know about Mario. (temple based) I just have to think about what style I plan to use. I will also be taking down my first level the longest yard if anyone is interested.

Freeon-Leon

Hey guys, I'll post my newest level again.

it's a really simple level that works around a single challenge. Its difficulty relies in good timing and control of Mario. It's been some time since I wanted to use the feather, but in a way that it's impossible to break the level. This time it just helps you gain some control and find some little secrets.

btw I'll be playing some of your levels too!

P.S. Any feedback would be awesome.

P.S. 2 No, it's not an automatic level, I'd never do something like that.

@sjmartin: Thank you so much! I put alot of heart into each of those levels! I mainly just try to make levels I'd like to play and other people end up liking them too! The three you mentioned are some of my favorite I made, and I still enjoy playing them myself for fun. That's when you know you are making good levels. (Which yours are as well.)

I still have one level nobody was able to finish. Maybe it is really too hard or simply not good designed. It is not my favourite level so you can try it and criticise a lot if needed. I could use the reviews for my new ghost house which I create at the moment.

[Edited by Chandlero]

@janjan: I really liked the ideas in your level. (Another Trick On The Wall) They were very well placed. The only thing about the level I didn't like was how ordinary the level itself looked. It just looked kind of plain. I try to make levels that are just as much fun to look at as play. Still, those were some good ideas!

I edited my course and removed the previous version. Basically made the P-block early on immovable and fixed a spot that was intended to force Mario to go small that didn't actually do that if approached correctly. anyway...

everything's good and it'll be that way forever!

@Freeon-Leon: Your level Donut Touch That! is so ridiculously good. I had a great time playing it and enjoying the challenge it presented. There are also no notable flaws that I can think of in it A star well earned for you!

Yes, I totally agree. It was a great level and it is way easier if you find the secret in the beginning
