I bought the physical Pokemon Scarlet + DLC bundle since I was able to net it at a slight discount from its listed MSRP. I'm still a bit sour that Indigo Disk requires a download, but I recalled that the physical Gen 8 DLC bundles didn't stick around long. Not sure if this will ever receive a full bundle release, so I decided to jump on this now before missing the boat.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
The Stretchers and Good Job! during the Jump-Start sale of 2024. Those two games almost never go on sale.
I also almost bought a sealed physical copy of Everybody! 1-2-Switch for 300 Mexican pesos ($15 at most), but I held off even if I legit wanted to, mostly because it was a quick visit to the shopping mall and I'm saving money.
@HammerGalladeBro Let me know what you think of Stretchers. I've always been curious, but I've never heard anyone in the forum give their opinion on it.
@WoomyNNYes I haven't played a lot of it, but for the little I've played of it, here's what I have to say.
The game was published by Nintendo but made by Tarsier Studios, the developers of Little Nightmares and apparently some DLC for the LittleBigPlanet series. The presentation does give it an indie look, much like Snipperclips and Good Job!
Gameplay-wise, it may take a little while to get used to the controls if you go solo, as this is a twin-stick game.
You control each stretcher with a stick each, let's call them Blue Stretcher and Red Stretcher. The left stick and L/ZL Control the Blue one and the right stick and R/ZR control the Red one.
You drive the ambulance to the emergencies and then you have to control both Stretchers as you carry the dizzy people to the stretch and then to the ambulance, once you have everyone in the ambulance you take them to the hospital to cure them.
The dizzy people and objects have some ragdoll physics and thankfully you're not penalized for injuring or mistreating them, at least from what I got to play.
The driving parts have a GTA feel to them, as you can destroy obstacles standing in your way. Only buildings seem to be indestructible. In fact, some missions do requiere you to destroy and when you take dizzy people to the hospital you get points for crushing down anything in your way there.
Even if the plot and the liberty the game gives you seems like it's something serious, the overall presentation is light-hearted.
If you're up to the challenge of controlling both Stretchers at the same time or if you can find a co-op partner (where each is in control of only one Stretcher), then this is for you.
I finally decided to bite the bullet and got Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX.
Not bad, but the slippery physics of the original and the one-hit deaths are still here. Though I like that it has new levels and that you can change between the Remastered graphics and music and the SEGA Master Systems's on the fly with the press of ZR, even in the new levels.
I’ve been getting the itch to try out the Final Fantasy series, so picked FF7 from the current sale to play later in the year (or when I’m done with Xenoblade). Almost went for FF6 as well but might wait for a deeper discount on that one
I just recently purchased at a book store for $14.99 Bloodstained Rutual of the night. It’s something I never heard of before but I started playing it and it’s pretty interesting.

Starting my Grade 7 piano exam soon and one of the pieces in it is "To Zanarkand"*. Never played any of the FF games before but have enjoyed some of its music (mainly through Smash).
Saw it was on sale and thought "Why not!", maybe engaging with the story and the characters will help when playing the piece, who knows!
*(I was suprised to see that there's actually a fair bit of video game music included in the various Trinity Piano grades, many of which Nintendo! Overworld themes for Zelda 1 and Mario 1 for Grade 2 and 4 respectively, the Mii Channel theme for Grade 5 and Coconut Mall for Grade 8.)
@Nintoz I'd be a hell of a lot more incentivised to keep up with piano practice if my gradebooks had a song selection like that XD (always wanted to learn the Luigi's Mansion theme in particular )
I've seen this game going on sale on and off, and this is a series I've been interested in trying.
I know its main character has been called the "weakest hero ever". Because nobody has heard of Alex Kidd or the explorer from Atlantis no Nazo who also die with one hit and in some of the most ridiculous ways.
@Nintoz not knowing how to play any instrument, learning to play the Mii Channel theme would certainly make me wanna have a go at one.
@Fizza@HammerGalladeBro Yeah as rewarding as they are, piano grades can get pretty tedious when you're playing some random classical piece from god knows who from god knows when😂
So it's really refreshing to see fun tunes like these make it in and makes the whole process a lot more enjoyable!
I found a physical second-hand copy, but it was missing the code for Legacy Collection 2. Which in hindsight, wasn't really a problem as I already had it, but I wish it had it, if only to say it was complete and how it would've been had I bought it brand new.

Just got (Nintendo Switch Sports). Created characters and played one round of golf, and so far pretty good! The motion controls are surprisingly decent. Excited to play more tomorrow!

@WaveBoy didn't know there was a physical version of Donut Dodo.
As much as I advocate for physical games and I love to get them whenever possible for storage reasons, this one is just a little over 100MB, a negligible amount of data. Maybe next time it goes on a 50% sale again I'll get it.

I have bought: DREDGE and RETURN OF THE OBRA DINN - both as physical releases, where I consider to be lucky to get: OBRA DINN, since it was one of the very last of the limited run release, which was possible to buy. (At a Price Way over the release-Price. But i’m stil smiling). I haven’t played any of them. I’m moving, so all my personal Stuff is packed.
