First purchase of 2024 is a cheap one called Traffix, which came out in 2020 on Switch but was released first on PC and Android in 2019.
This one got my attention just by looking at the eShop trailer and sure enough, it's rather good for short bursts of time, much like Q Remastered. The only difference is where Q Remastered stresses me a bit at times yet it makes me laugh at my failed attemps, Traffix seems to relax me and make me laugh when there's a difficulty spike.
Rusty's Real Deal Baseball is now a hidden gem of the Nintendo 3DS.

@Wolfleaf I got the original Doom for Switch also a while back and also can't play it without getting sick. 😝
Yooka Laylee is definitely worth the price though. Great game.
My Atelier backlog is already far too long so I've been actively avoiding Ryza 3. There are just soooo many Atelier games (edit: apparently there are 25 main games, 17 side games, and of course a zillion ports and some remakes)
I’m a bit late and their was no Christmas 2023 thing so I’m just gonna post what I got for the holidays
Super Mario RPG remake
Dragon quest monsters the dark prince
Pikmin 4
Sonic superstars
Super Mario wonder
And I got a Eshop card and bought citizens unite because it was on sale.
(Also I got the Jurassic world trilogy the honey I shrunk the kids trilogy and a yoshi egg lamp)
With the help of some vouchers, MS Reward points, sales etc. some more games have moved from the Wishlist to the Backlog!
Sonic Frontiers Xbox Series X Aero Fighters 2 Switch Yoshi's Crafted World Switch Grapple Dog Switch Enter the Gungeon Switch Quake Switch Natsuki Chronicles Xbox Series X
My first gaming purchases of 2024, the Bloodstained games have been on my want list for a while now, and with one copy at the PNP location I was at, I couldn't pass it up. I already had the Phoenix Wright trilogy digitally. Still, I couldn't pass up a chance to get it physically, especially with the Apollo Justice collection coming out (and already owning a physical copy of The Great Ace Attorney game).
Pokémon Scarlet + The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero
Another Code: Recollection
Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Noah & Mio amiibo
I begrudingly bought the Pokémon reissues because they're already going out of stock in Australia, and I have doubts that there will be a reprint with absolutely everything on the cartridge (the physical DLC edition of Sword/Shield never got a reprint). I've enjoyed what I have played of Violet so far, but I've yet to complete the base game of Scarlet.
Another Code is just gorgeous. Love the colour scheme and visuals. Really breathes new life into the DS original.
Porygon did nothing wrong.
Pokémon Sleep Friend Code: 1158-2327-1187
Picked up the Apollo Justice Trilogy on release-day yesterday, have already made my way through both the 1st case a bit of the 2nd and have been having a great time so far (it may even become my new favourite mainline entry in the series but I feel like I'm getting way ahead of myself for now XD).
