Waku Waku Sweets was.... Mediocre compared with Cooking Mama. Good idea but still not as good as Cooking Mama games that just straight forward choose the gameplay mode, choose the recipe to play, play the cooking parts.
Here is the things I found in the game:
1. There are a lot of dialogues like visual novel games in Waku Waku Sweets.
2. The control is very simple by using motion control or normal control, but doesn't feel as realistic as Cooking Mama games.
3. Still same case as Cooking Mama games, there are some inconsistencies in quantity of food products during cooking such as making only making 1 dorayaki cake during one process then on the next step, suddenly there are 4 dorayaki cakes. Again, the developers forgot to count the food quantity before and after cooking process.
4. The graphic is totally HD 2D graphic, No 3D graphic at all so the game felt like very HD mobile games.
5. The game have daily system which you can spend your time by visiting various places including the bakery shop, the place you working on and earn some money to buy new recipes to play at your working place, clothings and various decorative items.
6. The game will ask you to set time limit for playing, from 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 minutes as the game will automatically back to Menu screen and saved immediately after the game have reached the time limit you have set.
Well, I'm not surprised if the game looked mediocre like that. Still quite worthy purchase if you want to collect games by Nippon Columbia.

Also, keep in mind.
Nippon Columbia games are made especially for Japanese market, with a few of them got localized in English version if the games have good potential for Western market.
The reasons, some Western audiences still have indifferent feeling with Japanese stuffs. They thought some of Japanese stuffs are weird and uninteresting.
Fortunately, some of Nippon Columbia games got localized by Aksys games but don't expect the games by Nippon Columbia will be very Wow in almost every aspect. Their games still have mediocre quality even since from 3DS era.
Pokémon Shield, I completed the main story in BD and have hardly made a dent in LOA, but wanted something different and I am hoping to understand and play competitively this summer. Before BD I haven’t played any Pokémon game since gen 2. I have had a blast with all of them so far on the Switch.
Preordered physical copies of Idol Manager and Needy Girl Obsession. Cancelled my European copies of Yurukill: The Calumniation Games and AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative to preorder them from Asia and America respectively instead to get them a bit earlier.

Bought a switch lite to take to work with me when there's downtime in the ICU. I have the OLED switch too with the hori split pad and I thought I would mind playing on the lite but it's actually pretty comfy for my big hands. I did throw a sleeve over it that came bundled with a travel case and a 256gb card and its a nice travel system.
@Solaine yep came out may 17. Since it’s the only way I plan on playing I can’t compare the two, but I am having fun.
