I know Nintendo wanted to get away from the Wii legacy, and I know Arms is coming, but if the motion control and HD Rumble is now so good, where the hell is Switch Sports!?!
I guess a tennis game will come inevitably, but the potential of the HD Rumble to imitate the feeling of striking a tennis ball in various different ways is a no-brainer, so why isn't it coming at launch? Or at least being publicised?
I hope Switch FIFA offers variable vibrations depending on the type of pass/shot you're making...
C'mon Nintendo - show me more justifications for these overpriced fishfingers with buttons!!!
Don't forget that Tomorrow is Fire Emblem Warriors Direct, which starts at 2 P.M. PT/ 11 P.M CET. Also more Fire Emblem titles are to be announced in the direct.
Making promise is easy. The hard part is keeping it.

@gcunit Well, I think you answered it with your first sentence. Nintendo really wants to move away from the Wii Brand.
...by giving us next gen (Wii Remote) motion controllers!?
They can 'brand' it however the hell they like, but they shouldn't be cutting off such a strong potential source of income in order to do so.
Someone will make a tennis game for Switch, surely. I just want it to be someone who knows what they're doing. I really enjoyed EA's Grand Slam Tennis on Wii - maybe we can get a next-gen version of that.
@gcunit
Maybe it will come down the road? I remember reading somewhere that for EA to release sports games apart from FIFA in a console, they wanted almost no competition from anything related that could steal its thunder.
If EA abandons ship, I see getting a compilation of sports games (even if their minigames) to take full advantage of the joy cons.
@Grumblevolcano@gcunit I can hear Nintendo saying now: "No, the joy-cons are completely different! Look how different they look! Arms uses two controllers, not one!" Moving away from the Wii brand is still their goal, even if they're not doing a very good job of it.
You gotta admit it is really funny of them to insist they're moving away from the wii and then spend a good chunk of the presentation showing us these new wii remotes. Er, I mean, joycons. Totally different.
Take the red pill if you want to watch a video that best reflects my biggest concerns about the Nintendo Switch, with so much of that cynical and colorful language only Jimquisition can bring that I shouldn't actually post an actual link of it on this forums. (trigger warning)
Take the blue pull if you want Arlo to help you feel much, much better about the situation. While Jimquisition will have you feeling like Nintendo hasn't changed, Arlo brings up many fine points that show just how Nintendo has really changed.
Even though they're so different in tone, both of these videos speak to me. I'm hurt by Nintendo's nick-&-diming, and trial NES games don't really justify a subscription service if that is really all they're throwing into the pot. And yes, there are not many games announced quite yet. But Arlo makes a critical observation that there are four big exploration-heavy adventure games coming in the first year! Breath of the Wild, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Skyrim, and Super Mario Odyssey. That's just what's announced too, because there's a possibility that Yooka-Laylee could be coming this year, too. Yeah, Skyrim is an old game, but we've got a lot of options as far as big open-world adventure games go.
And correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like I'll be able to charge this thing with my phone cord? And anyone else's for that matter, if I ask for one? What other things can we connect to this thing? Yeah, it's unfortunate that a bigger spotlight was given to 1 2 Switch than they should have, but the presentation was focused to a Japanese audience.
In conclusion, I'm conflicted, and I have no idea how well the Switch is going to do at this point. But I'm still excited
